What the people of the North need, especially young Northerners, so they are educated and trained properly from an early age, is liberated minds that will allow them to understand they must reject being used for religious extremism and hatred that achieves nothing for humanity (which needs to become more secular, STEM-focus and solutions-driven) in the long run.

You are ignorant making Trump, a Christian fundamentalist and bigot in my opinion, the saviour of the world from what you believe to be a need to wipe out "evil Islam".

I don't involve myself in what religion is doing globally because I focus more on our nation and what needs to be done to make Nigeria better. This is why you won't find me hosting an opinion on the current USA/Israel V Iran war.

To that end, and as someone focused on his nation and people, I believe change begins with countering the indoctrination of young minds as the Hausa man reveals the need to do below.

As long as the North is conjoined with Nigeria, it is self-destructive seeing Northerners as enemies we need Trump, a repellent and autocratic bigot, to wipe out.

Much easier, effective and productive for the rest of us to stand our ground to insist the decent Northern leaders do the right things so the region becomes an asset to Nigeria through measures like peventing their desperate and oppressive leaders (Atiku, El Rufai, Tambuwal, Sule Lamido, Bala Mohammed, Malami etal) to grab leadership of Nigeria at any cost.

whereas those same leaders have never sought to lead charitably at home in the North so their region stops being the huge deficit and existentialist menace to Nigeria it is today

If you were not such a petty-minded hater, you would understand it is up to the rest of us to insist the North shape up by refusing to indulge their retrogressive antics.

Nothing negative the North has become, or has done, the rest of Nigeria have not allowed.

Instead of pointing fingers of blame and trying to demonize the North as "evil" the rest of us would be living peacefully and progressively today, with the North contributing positively to that, had we made the few evil and oppressive element oppressing ordinary Northerners to understand Nigeria belongs to all of us and they must conform to our demands over what is best for our entire nation.

What the rest of us have done is to indulge the retrogressive policies Northern leaders embrace to assist them subjugate and impoverish the North not understanding we would eventually become victims of our own irresponsibility with terrorism, banditry etal threatening to sink Nigeria today.

For example, why has the South never fought the almajiri scourge and menace troubling Nigeria with the insistence Islam must not be used as an excuse for two illiterates, with no capacity for family-sustaining employment to have 15 kids they cannot cater for and must send across West Africa to beg from as early as age two?

Why have we never insisted, with one voice, the North embrace family planning and proactive education which will show the people of the region that breeding many children they cannot care for is unfair to other regions of Nigeria and a danger to society as many become street children who eventually transition into serious crimes like terrorism, kidnapping, banditry etal?

The North does not need hate. She needs tough love and ultimatums from the rest of Nigeria that we are currently too disunited and cowardly to give her.

That guy you responded to is an example of the problem of Nigeria.

You will notice that those viewing Trump a messiah of Nigeria would be those who, from time immemorial, have never understood dogmatic and radicalised hatred of their fellow Nigerians is not the way forward.

Islam and Christianity, as the two major religions of the world, have serious issues. To defend radical champion of either, as messiahs, is for the losers and those who are foolish IMO.

Look at China moving at the speed of life after rejecting over-religious devotion, which forces a man to rely on divine intervention rather than look at himself as capable of delivering solutions he need.

The leader of China is even openly atheist and has led a period of exemplary success for his nation and her merited emergence as a world power that has stormed to the top finding human-driven solutions for their own problems whereas we still host Moslem and Christian leaders who tell us to pray for solutions we know human capacity can deliver.

Is it a wonder Kagame has turned Rwanda into one of the prides of Africa with how he recognises the need to tame the influence of religious extremism.

Kagame has instructed Pastors in his nation to have theology degrees so they are not exploitatively destructive as majority of Nigeria's 'miracle performing' and 'prosperity preaching' Nigerian pastors are due to how they have warped conventions of the Christian faith into 'pastopreneural' scams.

Religion, pertaining to the wellbeing and progress of a nation, can be a destructive net negative if it is not managed well.

Especially important for a very poor and third world nation like Nigeria that we begin to look at Countries that have developed spectacularly because they recognise secularity is a necessity for accelerated growth and development of ambitious nations.

I don't understand this whole thing of Nigerians standing immovably behind Islam and Christianity that are two imported religions our forefathers had nought to do with.

Those supporting Trump believe he can conquer and tame everyone and everything to do with Islam, that has billions of adherents, how?

Ditto those who think Islamic Jihad can take over Nigeria with at least many million Christians.

Bro, open your eyes. Forgot this shalaye while the North is the most poverty-stricken and backwards region of Nigeria per human development index.

What you should be more worried about is how it is you Northerners who are willing to fight, protest and kill over a religion not native to your land and ancestry that, factually, has not translated to better lives and socio-economic fortunes for Northerners.

It's not just the North, Africans need to liberate themselves from mental slavery. You know why we are passionate about these topics? It's not religion, it's identity. Many of us don't know who we are so we are taught these things. The average Nigerian can tell you what happened in Jericho but ask them what happened in Calabar, Ijesa or Potiskum, they will scratch their heads. A lot of their parents failed because even when you look at values, most people quote scriptures than what their own people passed on. Nigerians look up to them because they have something in common, religion but those people wonder how can a man not know himself. It's one of the things that was taken from us but we too must start to accept that we are responsible. There are many stories in the North that tells the history of who the people are but unfortunately, religion is the first thing people hold to because that's what they know, that's what they teach them, that's what they are fed.

If I ask the average Nigerian to tell me 10 popular sayings from where they come from, they will struggle. If I ask them to tell me 100 from the Bible or Qur'an, say no more...

SixSeven:
. Jesus Christ taught them all these things in South Africa? Did the Muslim Prophet teach them (the UAE) all the things they are doing in Sudan? You can't tell me what your ancestors taught you, you start from religion. You don't know your identity my friend. Notice I didn't use religion to talk about my identity. Who are you before the religious labels? What did your forefathers teach you about these things? Is it only Jesus that taught you? Are you telling me your forefathers did not pass any lessons to you about this world that you waited for religious texts to teach you? What did your own people teach you about other people? Hmmm you just proved my point. Enjoy my friend wink

Totally agree with you. No other race on Earth as brainwashed as the black race with the African subset being the worst.

We are virtually the only race who can be given a brand new identity and belief system we have zero indigenous, geographical or historical connection with yet become the most vocal advocates of those second-hand doctrines those who think they are superior to us believe it is their right to foist on us.

Trump already focused on Nigeria at the invitation of the city boy in Aso Rock. What was the outcome?

Did things change for the better? How?

What has changed for better after killing innocent northerners as collateral damage for Trump's pursuit of Islamic terrorists who were accussed of Christian genocide huh

Have terrorist incidents reduced since December?

Indeed. When you see a group of people who have never ever praise the good a goverment is doing, when there are many, and only focus on demarketing said government, with even lies and propagandist deception, then you are looking at a people who do not mean well for a nation and only wish to "hijack government" any way posssible.

It starts from the home. That is the first school of life. The family is the functional unit of society. It's sad that the government is deliberately not interested in history or values so as to control the people but in the meantime, the one that is within the people's control is to start learning about themselves from the home. Start from your family. I want families to start discussing who they are, I hope it becomes a trend with this Gen Z who use everything for content but you must give them kudos for questioning what they met on ground. Not religion, I want them to just start telling their stories. It's something a lot of people are uncomfortable with because even the parents don't know shocked

But there's no shame in learning. He who learns teaches - African Proverb.

Edit: miseducation of Negro already identifies the fact that most Negros are lost and they have been lied to and misdeucated but it is never too late to start knowing who we are. Japa is the first shocker for some people when they learn that people over there are more interested in their culture than religion grin

The bolded I agree with and will always be passionate about because I am exposed enough to note how well-developed human resources, gained through provision of the finest and most robust education, is the biggest difference between a nation creating solutions for problem of society, to then become great, and a nation failing horrendously because she simply lacks human resources with ability to provide solutions.

Yes quality education is key and I have said that always and continously as a beneficiary of it. That said, what do you propose Nigeria does with the North that prioritises religious Studies above formal education with the subset of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathemic) that delivers the greatest solutions and development foe society?
