This should be disputed at the highest court!

Those oil wells belong to Delta by geolocation and boundaries drawn in 1914

This is outright theft and robbery.

The only oil known to mankind in Anambra is palm oil. Anything outside that was stolen.
All the disputed oil wells will all definitely still be in igboland.

But there’s a natural boundary between Anambra and Delta states, River Niger, so how can anyone begin to claim oyel wells east of the river belong to Delta state? Or am i missing something here?

No doubt the seeds for this injustice were sown in the Buhari gov’t, and i can’t say I’m surprised to be honest! That man and his Fulani hegemonic co-travellers despised the Igbo and relished any opportunity to cheat, ridicule or extra-judiciously murder us!
You are right, the guy punishment in afterlife will be greater than hell, on this I think Tinubu deserves some flowers 🌷🌹🌹

Congrats to Igbo people. The wrongs done against their fore fathers are being righted. Better late than never.
If since 1999, increased federal allocations, higher IGR and debts have failed to increase government services, then what is there to congratulate Igbo people for on this announcement?

How have the five Igbo states, and Anambra in particular, done better in basic education and water supply than the State of Excellence ruined by city boy's a-looter master plan since 1999 huh

All these Bwala APC type reasoning na wa oh.

No wonder Emefiele was a great party man.

Tundemanias:
Godwin Emefiele urged federal government to attach premium to palm oil production

– According to the CBN governor, price of palm oil is higher than crude oil’s

– The CBN governor also expressed concern that though Nigeria was one of the major palm oil producers in the 1960s, it failed to consolidate on it

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele, on Wednesday, May 15, urged federal government to attach premium to palm oil production, saying its price is higher than crude oil’s.
Emefiele stated this in Abuja when he appeared before Senate’s Committee on Banking, Insurance and other Financial Institutions for screening for his second term nomination by President Muhammadu Buhari.

He did not, however, give the current prices of the commodities in the international market, but said that palm oil was a goldmine, which Nigeria had capacity to export to many countries.

The CBN governor expressed concern that though Nigeria was one of the major palm oil producers in the 1960s, it failed to consolidate on it because of the discovery of crude oil.

He, however, said that the CBN, through its legal functions, would come up with a special programme to boost palm oil production to help in diversifying the economy.

According to him, Nigeria had the potential to export palm oil and boost its revenue generation.

Emefiele recalled that “in the 60s, Nigeria controlled 40 per cent share in the global palm oil chain’’.

“We were exporting our palm oil to different parts of the world, but because we found crude oil, we receded and abandoned it.

“The price of a tonne of palm oil is more than the price of a barrel of crude oil. So, what happened?

“For other countries, when they had the opportunity in agriculture and in the crude sector, they did not let their guards down; unfortunately, we did and that is what we are paying for today,” he said.

He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his commitment to repositioning the agriculture sector.

According to Emefiele, the president had on different occasions insisted that the country should be producing what it would consume and consume what it would produce.

He noted that the charge resonated with CBN management, which took it further by starting the Anchor Borrowers Programme that had impacted so much on the lives of Nigerians.

He also disclosed that the apex bank was coming up with a fund for the creative industry “to engage Nigerian youths so as to increase employment rate as well as tackle restiveness’’

The CBN governor informed the committee that the bank had worked assiduously to stabilise the economy in many areas.

This was disclosed by the National Agency for Food Drug administration Control (NAFDAC) spokesman, Abubakar Jimoh, in an interview with the news agency in Abuja on Monday, June 5.

MediaGuru36:
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Friday said it has disbursed the sum of N30 billion to oil palm producers across the country, Igbere TV reports.

The CBN says the initiative is aimed at ensuring massive production of the oil palms in the country.

Igbere TV reports that Governor of Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele, disclosed this at a meeting with stakeholders in the Oil Palm industry, in Abuja.

Emefiele also disclosed that the CBN had commenced investigations into the accounts of suspected palm oil smugglers, vowing to sanction culprits.

According to him, he was under a strict presidential directive that palm oil importation must stop and that his team at the CBN were determined to assist its producers to produce enough for local consumption and even export.

Its not as easy as you make it. People look at the map of Nigeria and just think that the River Niger is a line that seperate Anambra and Delta. What they dont see is that in reality, the River Niger 'Snakes and curves' particularly in the Ogbaru area. There are places where the River Niger will cut into two, create an Island, join up after the Island, and nobody knows if the Island is in Delta or Anambra. There are even places the River will create 4 different different Islands, join up further down, two of those Island ls will be in Delta, the other two will be in Anambra

Because of the way the River Niger snakes, bends and curves in Ogbaru LGA, sometimes,
parts Ogbaru dont know if they are in Delta or Anambra.

Alot of oil wells belonging to igbos were unjustly ceded to rivers at oyigbo north field...egbema etc...
Same to delta and other states due to politics and marginalization of the igbos..
So many injustice have been melted to the igbos ..not to talk about the delibrate balkanization of igbo communities
We will triumph..
Not until Nigeria changes it negative attitudes towards us we will never see ourselves as Nigerians

Just seen this reply. Thanks for the explanation! I’ll go and take a quick look at Google Earth and zoom in on Anambra to see it physical.

Anambra now has close to 20 oyel wells, and i gather one cluster (forgotten the name now…sounds a bit like qua-boe or something like that) is as prolific as Ronaldo in production!
