You may think you know or have it all, until war starts. It's your ability to adjust that determines whether you can succeed or survive. Even Russia as advanced as they are had to rely on the same Iranian drone. Ukraine in return had to start developing their own affordable and effective missiles.

...Nope,try&read the news again... America never provided Ukraine with drone interceptors but the patriot system so now America needs a cheap one like the interceptor the Ukrainians developed locally which is way far cheaper (1000 USD) compared to their patriot system which cost millions of dollars... Iranians are using cheap drones of 35,000 USD to cause havoc while America are using like 4 Milly USD to intercept so it is very logical for Trump to seek alternatives to cut spending

Some defensive weapons were developed for Ukraine to stop the Shahid drones, and they were very effective. At least they can use it to match Iran's Shahid drones cost.
