This is Emmanuel Analike, the man behind NetNaija, one of the biggest movie and music download sites in Nigeria.

The NetNaija CEO was arraigned at the Federal High Court in Abuja this week over serious copyright infringement charges. The Nigerian Copyright Commission accused him and his company of illegally downloading, distributing, and making available movies and music without permission.

Analike pleaded not guilty, but the judge ordered him remanded at Kuje Prison until his bail application is heard on Monday, March 9.

From building one of Naija’s most visited entertainment platforms to now sitting in custody, this is one story that has everyone talking. Was it only a matter of time?

Young man with talents, and using it for the betterment of the mass just that he's using it the wrong way.. he could have advanced and get better understanding about about copyright and even grow his platform to something big like moviebox, Netflix and many streaming app

A criminal, hope his prosecution will serve as deterrent to others like him.

Such a handsome young man with working brains. He's the reason many of us have access to many movies and songs. Since it's about copyright infringement stuff, they should fine him and make him pay at least to clear his name. Then he should be made to always comply with copyright laws henceforth.

Anybody who does these free downloads has to be smart enough to stay under the radar and anonymous. There are still many sites with such services.
