Instead of rebuilding the grid for better electricity they are embezzling money on the road that will give free access to bandits movement to Lagos

Does the construction of the road in any way constrain our ability to invest in power?
Have you ever travelled by road from Lagos to sokoto?

Is this a serious comment?
Don't you realise that we don't have unlimited money and thus must prioritise?

15 Trillion Naira PPP or not, on Coastal Road is also not a priority and should go to power.

Do you want your grandchildren to carry on with no power? Have you had power since you were born? Don't you understand that it should be the number one priority of any govt in this country?

The height of entitlement is expecting others to do research to flesh out your bare statement. Why not bring out your cost benefit analysis and challenge people to refute it?

This is so obidient. Imagine something and then run with it. Then excoriate everyone who does not agree with your unresearched statement.

Do your own work please.

My major concern is security of commuters on that corridor. Government should make security a priority. Let us double the number of security personnel through massive recruitment in the Army, navy, Air Force, police, DSS, NCDC, state police and organized vigilantes

While building new roads, the old ones should also be maintained.
Or better still use the money to maintain the old roads than building new ones.
Your wailing is the catalyst that propels us to do more.

Without your wailing, what can we do grin.

Can you please continue to wail till 2031?

This road is useless and just for embezzlement. There is road for people who are travelling from sokoto to lagos. The road is not choked up to require a new road deep in the Bush. This money spent on costal highway and this road is better spent on electricity

Jagaban is not shaking. It's taking each step deliberately. He is also working on power from the ground up, from the root up, no patching. So it will take some time. Whether you wail or not, Jagaban will do what he needs to do.

The master plan for this major highway dates back as far as 1980s.
But unfortunately was abandoned and neglected.
Thank God for this administration.
However, my concern is security issues on this road when completed.
Infrastructures without battling insecurity is a major concern.
direct this question to Tinubu and not us.

Roads bring accessibility and development, terrorists can't operate effectively in opened up spaces, security mobilisation and enforcement is a lot easier and quicker......this road will also help with food security to the south as produce can be evacuated quicker and cheaper......you would begin to see Industrial development along that corridor which will ne to the benefit of the states.

Roads are low hanging fruits for the govt to deliver to the people unlike grid issues,it will take Nigeria about 15 years of investments to get electricy right,if tinubu were to be pumping money in there now,it won't be immediately visible and Nigerians for what we are will start crying that nothing is being done......obj threw 16b usd at it but got us nowhere and any visible improvements didn't manifest until after he had left office.......tertiary health care is what falls withing the exclusive list and if govt starts to pump monies into them, there are several people who won't feel affected by it.... but a single road is cutting across several states and communities, this brings better and more effective dividends for the givt to campaign with......If the roads get fixed by this administration, the next govt can focus on other sectors.

How can we battle insecurity when All Promises Cancelled, APC leaders looters are clueless about creating jobs? Jobs that pay well and keep people too busy to engage in crime.
Since there are no jobs, why are we not all criminals or bandits, why aren't we all idle? You mean there are mo jobs in America, thats why you still have criminals over there?

Yes we can, if we stop hyping the worst rogues in history to high levels of government.

Why did we have low levels of public debt when PDP gave us 16 years of cheap petrol and dollars, based on deregulation and privatisation policies for widespread prosperity huh
Low levels of public debt, are you seriously joking right now? Nigeria has been having a debt conundrum since the 80s and your revenue isn't enough to run a budget.....the debt servicing obligations thats eating all the revenue, was it tinubu that borrowed all that money.

Bandits no de disturb this project, abi them settle them ne? On a serious note we need to tackle banditry, we can't have roads and no security. It will amount to cherry picking kawai. Bandits will just take over. We await to see how state policing will be handled by new IG

Forget about Peter Obi. The truth is that we do not need this road at this time, it is nowhere a priority. Especially compared to something like power.

You guys make it sound as if there is no present road to Sokoto from Lagos.
I keep referring to this, when the 3mb was being conceptualised there were many like you who procrastinated and opposed it but look where we are now, imagine lagos without that bridge today..........the problems we have been having with electricity as we had with petrol in the past before full deregulation is the givt interference in that sector, what tinubu is trying to do is attract private capital into that space and let it thrive.....there are do many factors inhibiting this that needs to be tackled......electricity sector has had little to no investment for decades and govt can't do it alone and investments cant also come in because of several factors this govt is trying ti sort.

Bad example, 3MB was absolutely central and critical to the entire economy.

Tell me, if we are to progress, to industrialize, what is more important today - power or those roads - roads for which there are already existing routes?

As for the bold, that just shows you up as one of those guys who will defend BAT no matter what. Thats a VERY poor excuse.
