I never understood their gimmick as a kid, was angry when they won the tag belts from Eddie and Chavo. They were dead on arrival with that gimmick, no wonder Cornette was pissed.

They had Sami questioning why Cody gets to have a title match after losing at the elimination chamber. Since 2024 only Cena and Drew have interrupted Cody's lengthy reigns.

My main gripe is that when Cody was with the title there were numerous opportunities for him to feud with Randy and get their silly dream match out of the way but they kept teasing and teasing without pulling the trigger.
Now he lost it they now remembered they need to do the match mtchew.

Wins then loses the TNT belt in less than two weeks.
Loses to a bland lowcarder like Danny Garcia.
Re-enacts the betrayal angle he did in NXT 9 years ago with Mark Briscoe.
I hope that AEW paycheck was worth it grin

Nobody is waiting for a lucha bros reunion in WWE. Penta is a singles star. The tag division in WWE is dead. Fenix is better off in AEW.

i haven't watched the show or clip but from what I gathered he is moving from Randy to Cody acting disturbed and lacking focus while contradicting himself. Is the story about insanity?

Maybe you're confused because you haven't watched the show lol.

He missed out on a title opportunity because he opted to help Cody Rhodes instead of taking advantage of the distraction like Cody Rhodes did. He talks to Cody about it and basically got gaslit into thinking that he is in the wrong for not wanting to do that to a friend.
Sami talks to Randy Orton, who got a title shot by taking advantage of a similar situation, about it. Randy Orton tells him that sometimes you have to be selfish. Sami asks whether doing something like that to friend makes you a bad person. Randy says he doesn't know but it has made him a 14-time champion.
This is probably the most compelling story going on right now but it seems like wrestling fans can't follow a basic plot.

It's about the inner conflict that Sami Zayn has with the whole matter. Basically, he wants to be okay with his things played out but deep down he isn't. He still feels betrayed
