IOW their expectations and ambitions are very low. Mediocrity best describes them.

Personally, I don't think Europe is weak.

What I see is a leadership problem.
Europe lack pragmatic leaders, we can see this from the recent turn of event in the geopolitical space and how they talk and talk about becoming independent especially militarily but end up running back to the Americans.


In Europe today, France is the only country with pragmatic leadership at a certain scale and this is enough to be head and shoulders above the other E.U countries.
While many of us have made certain assumptions about Europe, either from hate or love, I still maintain a stance that neither the Russians or Americans will be crazy enough to go to war with Europe.

1. America never claimed to be untouchable. It's just that there are consequences to touching them. That's all. Japan touched them in the 1940s, they FAFO. Same with with Osama bin Laden in 2001. Iran will soon see the consequences of touching America and FAFO afterwards. It's a long game. Just wait for it.

2. Israel built (one of) the best air defences in the world. It's not perfect (impenetrable) , but it's the best. Or kindly mention another nation with better air defences, that endured the same level of air assault in residential areas like Israel and still record minimal casualties. I'm waiting

Europe is not involved because they have nothing to offer. Only the UK and France have a reasonable air force and they will run out of missiles in hours.

They are all united when it comes to Israel, their intelligence agencies act as one in Iran. They all wanted this war, the European chihuahuas are stepping back now because it’s a disaster.
