Good morning, please the legs of my Honda car vibrate and shakes when I press the breaks after going above 120km. What could be the cause? The tyres and the shocks are okay. |

Talking about maintenance tips on cars made me think about one thing a lot of people forget when they’re out touring - caravan tyres need just as much attention as the car’s. Instead of wrestling with the spare or trying to fit tyres yourself at home, caravan tyres home fitting can be a real time-saver and stress reducer. Olympus Mobile Tyre Fitting comes to you and does the job there and then, which is much easier than trying to juggle a jack and tools in the driveway. Worth keeping in mind if you’d rather spend time on the road than in the garage. |

Odukes:Good day sir, Thank you for your message. From your explanation — Honda vehicle vibrating and shaking when braking above 120km/h, tyres and shocks confirmed okay — this is a classic high-speed brake system distortion issue, not a suspension fault. For future diagnostics, please always include the exact Honda model, year, and whether the vibration is felt more on the steering wheel or brake pedal. It helps us narrow it faster. ⸻ 🔧 Professional Diagnostic Insight 1️⃣ Brake Disc (Rotor) Warping – Most Common Cause When vibration happens only during braking at high speed, 90% of the time it is due to: • Slight brake disc warping • Uneven rotor thickness (Disc Thickness Variation) • Heat spots on the rotor surface At high speed, when you press the brake: • The brake pads clamp onto an uneven disc surface • This creates pulsation • The vibration transfers into the steering and suspension At low speed, it may feel normal — which matches your description. ⸻ 2️⃣ Brake Pad Material Transfer Sometimes the disc is not fully warped, but: • Pad material has deposited unevenly on the rotor • This creates high and low friction spots • Resulting in shaking when braking hard This is common if: • Cheap pads were used • New pads were installed on old discs • Proper bedding procedure was not followed ⸻ 3️⃣ Hub Surface or Installation Error If recently serviced: • Rust or dirt between hub and disc • Uneven wheel nut torque can create slight disc misalignment, which only shows up at high speed braking. ⸻ 4️⃣ Less Common Causes • Worn lower control arm bushings • Worn tie rods • Slight wheel bearing play But since you said tyres and shocks are fine, brake rotors remain the primary suspect. ⸻ ⚙️ Ryan Automotive Workshop – Professional Take This is a brake system precision issue, not a tyre balancing issue and not a shock absorber issue. Do not ignore it. High-speed brake vibration means: • Your stopping efficiency is reduced • Heat build-up will worsen the distortion • It can escalate into steering instability ⸻ ✅ Professional Summary & Correct Next Steps We recommend: ✔️ Remove front brake discs and measure runout ✔️ Machine discs (if thickness allows) OR replace with quality rotors ✔️ Install quality brake pads ✔️ Clean hub surface properly ✔️ Torque wheels correctly with torque wrench ✔️ Inspect lower arm bushings during service Avoid repeated high-speed hard braking until this is corrected. 📍 Clients come to us from different locations — distance is never a barrier when the job must be done properly and safely. If you want a precise inspection and proper brake correction, bring the vehicle to Ryan Automotive Limited. Ryan Automotive Limited Precision. Transparency. Excellence. Good morning I recently replaced the battery civic 010 vehicle with 62ah. I connected the negative terminal first, followed by the positive terminal, and while connecting the positive, the horn started to sound continuously, prompting me to disconnect that terminal. I reconnected the horn still sounding, I unlock the car with remote, lock it back still sounding, I kept doing unlocking and locking both with key till it stopped. Since then the horn sound sometimes while driving without pressing it, it also sound continuously when I park the car at noon and midnight. Pls what could be the solution. |

Hello everyone, I am based in Lagos. I am looking to learn hands-on skills in: Electric/Hybrid Vehicle Diagnostics, Service & Repair (including OBD, CAN bus, battery systems, safety, sensors, etc.) I would appreciate recommendations for practical training centers or workshops in Lagos that offer this kind of course — especially places with hands-on, practical sessions and flexible schedules (evenings/weekends would be ideal). Please include: Name of center or workshop Location in Lagos Types of courses offered Whether they offer flexible schedules Any personal experiences or contacts if possible Thanks in advance! 🙌 |

Good evening gurus. I have this code on my acura tsx 2004. How do I solve this? The car revs up and down when this code is triggered and looses power.

ManAdii:You have issues with your throttle body since it’s a performance code I’ll suggest cleaning of the throttle plate it might be very dirty if that doesn’t work and electricals are fine throttle body would need replacement |

rapheal5:When removing a battery - Negative first When installing a battery - Positive first Locate the horn relay, remove and reinsert securely. Remove the negative terminal for at least 10 minutes and reconnect. Hopefully, this should reset the anti-theft security. |

kingreign:A simple compression test will help his diagnosis, but I didn't see anyone mention it here. Instead, na to program injectors. |

Hi, everyone. I’m really grateful for how anytime we come for advise here someone is always ready to assist. I have come once again as regards a colleagues car which is to be fixed. It is a Toyota matrix. The mechanic sent the following bill to us. I want to know if the price is fair in view of the current market prices. I’m also skeptical about the steering rack: I always hear things like when steering rack is faulty, it cannot be fixed Also, gear oil for 45,000 naira. Is that not a fake gear oil. I’ll be grateful for a requote. Thank you so much.
