The APC still has a strong political advantage in the North going into 2027, but Nigerian elections are often unpredictable. Performance in governance between now and 2027 will likely determine whether President Tinubu secures an easy second term or faces a very competitive race.

Bauchi and Abia are falling next.

Bauchi is the only opposition state in the North, out of 19 states.

Southwest currently has 2 opposition governors (Oyo and Osun), although both of them are 50% loyal to Tinubu

Southeast has 2 opposition governors (Abia and Anambra). Both of them are 100% loyal to Tinubu.

No opposition in South South, North West and North Central.

Can we now agree that Nigeria is currently running a partial one party system?

Some will still say BAT will lose in the states. Yes he might lose but he will have good showing in almost all the states with APC governors.

What our constitution specifies is having 24% in 2/3rd of the states. Our law did not say the winner has to win all the states. In fact he can even lose in all the states but have the highest number of votes in the end with 24% in the required states.

Peter Obi is not a serious politician. Apart from Obidients, what other groundwork does he have across the country. Tinubu via APC don capture the whole Nigeria finish. Opposition is a joke and nowhere to be found.
