Dangote is not the cause of the price increase on the international market

If he buys at a higher rate on the international market, he will refine and sell at a higher rate to petrol stations...
Buys what? The crude is local, the refining is local, labour is local so what are we saying? Have we lost our minds in this country?

Dangote monopoly is dangerous and exploitative. The real benefit to Nigerians is to bring in more players to compete on pricing.
After everything you read this is your conclusion ?

Nigeria's problem isn't fuel prices or oil, it's power. We're feeling it more because we have no power. I had to buy fuel of over N12,000 just to power my generator for 4 hrs, pump water and have a little left over for the next day. I did this so the food in the freezer won't go bad. If I had power, I won't have an issue that much. But now, it will be more glaring because this useless government refused to deal with power but decided to put all money on a coastal road. Power should be what decides Tinubu's re-election. Nothing else. If you can't fix power, pls resign.
Spot on

Oga!! You aren't reacting to these absurdities because you aren't heavily taxed and it hasn't gotten round.....by the time govt is taking 25% of ur profit or salary and that of everyone around you.....everyone would sit up and have one voice in holding govt accountable........50 naira per transaction is considered irrelevant by many, transport levies by drivers is considered irrelevant by those who don’t drive, market levies is not regarded as significant by those who arent Traders, many don't even know what PAYE is because they aren't in paid employment......but when this tax law becomes effective,it will touch everyone and everyone will feel bothered.
What would they tax? You mean they will tax people's blood? How many Nigerians have savings left after every expenses? 😂

Even at the current high prices you have here, you still aren't paying half the price obtainable in Canada.......it's over $7 already in los Angeles.
Stop this disgusting comparison

Where have i mentioned that you don't pay takes......for everyone like you within the tax net, there are 4 others outside it.....so if you see the tax as a burden or counter productive, there are 4 others who don’t care but we we all get into that bracket and we all see govt taking that much from us,we will all seat up and hold that givt responsible.

Dangote buys crude abroad... He imports crude

Dangote even buys Nigerian crude from third party individuals because your government prefers to sell to outsiders before selling to him....

Do your research before you quote me ...

Thank you for asking these simple questions. This is something we are quick to do, always comparing Nigeria with other countries doing better . Why not compare Nigeria with Haiti . It's always killing the discussion when I read people's narratives opinionated on USA, CANADA or other European countries.
LanreTjakes:
Why do you people reason like this?
Are we in Canada? Do we enjoy benefits Canadians enjoy?
We can't keep defending what's wrong and visible to the blind.
