What’s the proper way to switch of 5ghz band on ZTE ODU? I unticked the broadcast 5ghz SSID but I’m still getting poor battery life of 3 hours

CuteMaro:
ODU is down here since about a few minutes ago. No internet connection even with all parameters normal. But normal Airtel sub working just fine.
Same here but its just one odu experiencing the issue, the other two are working fine
Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by CuteMaro(m): 12:40pm On Mar 09
It's working fine now.

Airtel can never change from their deceptive ways. Why must one contact support before receiving cash back. Shouldn’t it be an automated process? Airtel no go kill person grin

Hello guys, please I have this Nokia 5G Fastmile router. I bought it unlocked but suddenly locked (unable to see another Sim asides Airtel). Is there a way to go about unlocking the router again.
I told the vendor I got it from about it but He's proposing buying it back for 40K but I declined his offer.

Airtel has had proper downtime today and intermittent services even now due to site and tower upgrades or tuning that's wat they're saying

Where did you contact them? I just subscribed and wasn't given cashback

Check the contact email on the smartcash app and send them an email. I got mine like an hour after I contacted them but they haven’t even acknowledged that they have solved it

Please, how can I power this Airtel power bank rated 12V 4A? I want to use a 12V 5A converter. Will an external power source/power bank work? Also, which power bank brands can provide at least 18W output?

Those with Huawei and ZTE Routers what is the maximum number of band those routers can aggregate for instance my ZLT can aggregate a maximum of 4LTE bands I would love to know if ZTE and Huawei achieve the claimed 5 LTE band aggregation

I'm not sure if those 3500+3256+250+3400 ZLT shows actually makes a big difference. I mean a practical difference in terms of network speed and stable internet.

I said that because I have the ZLT and ZTE. For ZTE, it shows the first frequency as 'ENABLE' and sometimes also shows at most one other as 'ENABLE'.

But other times it also shows the second and the rest of the frequencies as 'DISABLE', which is confusing because I thought it should enable at least two frequencies or even more at any material time, being that it is a high end and even future proof router.

However, the ZTE performs better than the ZLT all the times I have tested them in my place.

Maximum I've seen is four and doesn't mean it's better than two or one sef.

Actually it makes a difference when the signal is good and all the aggregated bands have good SINR the ping and packet loss is Low thus making the network stable for heavy online gaming and video conferences this is where Huawei shines according to reviews so wanted to know how many bands it can aggregate coz definitely after my sub expires am dropping the zlt for either Huawei or ZTE

Apart from the visibly superior signal reception I have seen with the G5F, I think everything else we get from this Airtel ODU package depends on location (quality of network infrastructure in various locations) and what Airtel does at their end.

I suppose ZTE G5F is an LTE CAT20 device, which, on paper, should be able to aggregate many cells at the same time and make browsing experience above average at all times. Perhaps this should be true of all the other ODU variants. But alas, Airtel themselves sometimes disable the carrier aggregation, making browsing experience quite poor and rubbishing the features of these otherwise premium/expensive routers.
Re: Airtel Unlimited Data Thread! Best Data Plan In 2024!! by Unfaized: 8:08pm On Mar 10
Let me say this again. When it comes to network connectivity, the router you're getting won't make any difference as long as speed is capped at 50mbps. So it doesn't matter which one you're getting.

For real life use, what you should be looking out for is battery back up.

They're all premium routers but at 50mbps that's just about it. Nothing more than the average Airtel 4G box.

I have used the 3.....in terms of raw speed, the ZTE edges the rest(it's performance noticeably improves and become apparent after a restart). In terms of online responsiveness and ping, the Huawei is the best. If you play online games alot, go for the Huawei. It has the best ping.
You must also understand that the gaming latency and ping is dependent on alot of factors e.g network quality, closeness to server etc. So I won't put my entire decision based on latency alone.
Infact interms of gaming I prefer MTN. The network serves me better in my location

ZTE prioritises SINR while Huawei prioritises the overall network quality.

Thanks, got Type‑C to DC pin with the SHPlus power bank, which outputs 12V directly via Type‑C, and also an adapter to use the old Airtel 5G box power bank.

Boss abeg did you find a fix to the poor wifi signal, my odu connects well with recent device model but for some phone or laptop of few years back ,it wont see the wifi except im close to the IDU . And this is for selected device .pls any way to improve the network signal, ive updated my laptop driver to the latest ,whenever i go in my room away from where i have the IDU my laptop wont see the signal at all.
NSEstudent:
It's the positioning of the ODU that matters. The IDU positioning matters only in terms of wifi signal reception.

The ODU is the main device.

For ZTE, an app exists to guide the positioning.

I don't have poor wifi reception. I was explaining to someone in the quoted message.

In any case, what I can understand from your explanation is that you are probably using only 5GHz, which travels only short distances. You should start by telling us your ODU/IDU pair and the settings you're using.

I would have advised you downgrade the wifi driver in your laptop but since you can see the wifi when the laptop is close to the IDU, I believe the driver is good.
