Nigeria suffers more than most countries when petrol prices rise because petrol is not only used for transportation but also for electricity generation at homes, shops, and factories. This situation exists largely because of Nigeria’s extremely weak power supply compared with countries of similar or smaller populations.https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=pfbid02RohYP3y2y5QhRp1SizNHxa1y7FVzH5qRbvJJSr2ZDA2oibg947CSTciLgGepC6PNl&id=100013785282908&mibextid=Nif5oz

Exactly, Nigeria is a generator republic and we depend on fuel to run not just our home but also business, Nigeria is actually a failed state. |

We suffer because we don't care about good leadership. Why would someone vote for Tinubu in 2027? Let's forget sentiments and tell ourselves the truth. |

This is not true, how many people can still afford to run their homes, businesses with petrol since the inflation?peoppe have found alternatives to avoid unnecessary expenses like using CNG for cars….generator sellers are even about to go out of business… China tha supplies us generators are not even using them. It simply lack of leadership and greediness of our leaders, when crude oil prices go down,it won’t still reflect on the price of petrol in Nigeria.. When dollar ali goes down,it doesn’t still reflect. |

Is providing stable electricity rocket science? No! Just start from Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, Mauritania... Each of these relatively poorer countries can boast of 24-hour uninterrupted power supply all year round... How can we be so rich in both human and natural resources, yet we can solve a single problem for decades? Sometimes, I'm forced to believe that Nigeria is cursed! |

Guyman02:Thi has nothing to do with parties. It's has always been like this since the military regime. Light has always been bad and has been like that cos people were sabotaging it so has to sell generators. |

TechBaron:All those countries do something Nigeria doesn't....they pay cost reflective tarrifs for the electricity they use. Nigeria doesn't. Burkina : 0.207 dollars per kwh Mali: 0.219 dollars per kwh Togo: 0.186 dollars per kwh Senegal 0.183 dollars per kwh Mauritania 0.160 dollars per kwh Ghana ).0.137 dollars per kwh Nigeria : 0.036 dollars per kwh |

keemsleek:More like the government refused to let NEPA in the past, then DISCOS today to charge cost reflective tarrifs. Also, from the late 1970's, government started adding more people to the grid...especially in villages. People who could not pay for the power easily. The result was an overloaded grid, and no profits made for reinvestment in expansion and even maintenance costs. DIsaster resulted. Even today, government is doing the same old thing Geenrator people took advantage of a bad situation to sell generators. |

We wiil travel to Brazil to copy how they transformed their electricity section and implement it in Nigeria.
