Canada:
Half of Canada’s crude oil is exported abroad for refining. It is sold internationally at the prevailing market price, so they will buy the refined crude higher, so people paying higher at the pump is understandable.

Nigeria:
100% of Nigeria’s crude meant for local consumption can be refined within the country. Nigeria produces about 1.6 million barrels of crude daily. Out of that, Nigeria owns about 900,000 barrels which cost them little to nothing because it’s the oil companies who pay for crude extraction, and 40% of the oil is theirs as compensation which they can do with whatever they want.

Out of that 900,000 barrels belonging to Nigeria, Nigerians consume only about 300,000 barrels daily. This means Nigeria can sell 300,000 barrels of crude to them at the budget benchmark price of $50, while still selling the remaining 600,000+ barrels at the international market at the prevailing international price.

But because some Nigerians have chosen to not ask questions, just accept whatever they’re given, politicians will continue to play games with everyone.

I quite agree with you, but either your Nigerian market price you explained is true or David Bird of Dangote is correct. He said they maintain the global price in Nigerian market because they buy crude oil from Nigeria at the rate of global charges, which means they're buying at internatioalm rate with dollars (I guess).

Yes sure, location matters. Gas price has always been on the high here in California even before the war. Arizona which borders California sells gas for $2.56+ and It's been $4.50 here. My premium is $4.75 before.

The conversion ratio is 1 gallon = 3.78541 liter, so 17 gallons = 64.352 liters for $100. That is, 1 liter is $1.55 = N2165.35
