Samklef Is Actually Correct — Islam Is Older Than Christianity

Many people are attacking Samklef for saying Islam is older than Christianity, but if you understand Islamic teachings, what he said is not wrong.

In Islam, the religion did not start with Prophet Muhammad. Islam means submission to the will of God, and Muslims believe that all prophets from the beginning preached the same message worship one God.

Prophets like Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus Christ are all considered Muslims in the sense that they submitted to one God.
Even Jesus Christ himself preached the worship of one God.

The religion called Christianity developed later after his time.

So from the Islamic perspective, Islam is the original message of monotheism that existed long before Christianity as an organized religion.

People may disagree, but Samklef’s statement reflects what Islam teaches that the message of submission to one God existed from the time of the earliest prophets.

Your problem is that you want to rely only on Google, but Google itself depends on information created by humans. Humans can make mistakes, forget things, or even mislead. Muslims believe the Qur'an is the direct word of Allah, not the opinion of any human, jinn, or AI.

The Qur'an even challenges mankind in Surah Al-Baqarah 2:23 to produce a chapter like it, and for over 1400 years, no one has succeeded. That is why Muslims trust the Qur'an more than Google or AI.

Islam is an organised religion credited to Muhammad as her founder... She relies on the Quran as her source of instructions and credits same to having been received by Muhammad as dictations from God... She believes that Arabic is the PUREST language.

Was Muhammad before Paul? Was the Quran before the Bible? Was Arabic the language spoken by those prophets and biblical figures later rechristened prophets in the Quran?

There are similarities between Judaism and Islam but that do not make them the same.

The claim that Islam is older than Christianity and that prophets from Adam well before Muhammad were Muslims is a not an historical fact but a manner of thinking specific to Muslims based on their dogma.

Anyone can sit in his house and claim that Adam was a black man and that the first few Kings of England were negroes even when historical facts point otherwise. To avoid arguments, everyone would just see it as that person's peculiar problem.

It is convenient for Muhammad to pick people from Judaism and Christianity, some dating back to hundreds or thousands of years and then ascribe his label to them in an attempt to validate his message. However, historical facts are available for everyone and the world cannot be compelled to believe his narrative.
