Brent is already above $100. The price reduction is not feasible and even projected to go higher. |

For that 2-3 days oil high price, does it mean both FG and the marketers don't have oil reserves that can last for at least 3 months hence buying new one at high price and selling high as well? |

HacheNoire:Stop the propaganda lies. Petrol should not cost more than N70. Anything above that is All Promises Cancelled, APC forcing us to pay them subsidy for the massive corruption in their oil sector. anonimi: |

you see this country ehn, we need prayers. It is easy to see the impact of an incerase in fuel prize on the other hand when there is a decrease in fuel prize it hardly reflect on the economy. This rubbish needs to stop. We blame the government for everything ; yet we dont knw that we ourselves are as bad as the government |

How can they reduce? They are quick to jack up prices and sell old stock at the new increased rates, but when it comes to reduction it is the opposite. The government we are condemning daily is simply a reflection of the larger society. |

Me sha, I still prefer this 1,300 to the days of staying long hours in the fuel station and begging fuel attendant with your own money to allow you enter and buy fuel. The fuel attendants will be forming demi gods just because of the fuel wahala. Even the gate man for fuel station go come dey form king of the station. That time dem go say e get 3 very important people you need to know for your area 1. DPO 2. Bank manager 3. Fuel station manager/ fuel attendant Although I still believe federal government can give only local refiners some incentives such as tax cuts or price reductions on crude to reduce prices a little. |

Yes, but we all should know that Dangote is a business man and would not sell without profit because it's a business that has to pay salaries and cover other overhead costs 🤷🏽♀️ PlasmaTV: |

Interesting. Why is a regulator needed to 'enforce' falling prices in a deregulated environment? Isn't the market supposed to do that on its own? ![]() The one trick pony who's always preaching about subsidy removal should weigh in on this. We want to learn. |

PlasmaTV:For the records, Dangote get fuel, but he no get the Stations. People will profit till war is over and uncertainty is completely wiped out. As for APC, ofcourse, na scam. After spending and wasting billions of turn around maintenance since 2015, if not dangote to be fair, the situation will be pretty worse. The question is will Nigerians do the needful... |

Nigerian's petroleum ministry began its troubled times when Muhammadu Buhari appointed himself as Minister. That trajectory continued as the ever incompetent Bola Ahmed Tinubu took over. |

Memphis357:? Buhari was a bad leader , but the issues with the fuel supply date well before 2015 Memphis357:A summary of the fuel subsidy and why it was problematic for nigeria. 1973: fuel subsidy comes in 1976 : First end of year queues as a result of subsidy induced losses...these worsen by 2010 eventually 1988: four refineries online . Refining capacity 400000 bpd 1992: problems begin with funding refinery upkeep and subsides 1992: IMF and WB suggest subsidy must go...Nigeria says no 1994: the first of many TAM were skipped. SKipping continues in the years to come 2011: Refining capacity now 91000 bpd 2011: GEJ attempts subsidy removal. Protests led by Buhari, tinubu and co lead to its reversal 2012. 2011 subsidy spending three times 2010 subsidy spending due to oil prices rising from 91 dollars in 2010 to 110 dollars and above in 2011 2013: Subsidy no longer covering losses. Fuel said to now cost higher than the legal N97 per liter in several parts of the country. 2014, Oil prices crash in March. Government keeps subsidy and even borrows to fill the hole left in government spending by paying subsides. 2015: Buhari takes over. During his regime, he prints and borrows even more cash to pay for subsidy among other things. 2019: Domestic refining now below 9000 bpd. Borrowing for subsidy intensifies 2020-21 COVID. Very low oil prices means even record borrowing. Printing money for subsidy intensifies August 2022: All the oil refineries have gone to the crash. Nigeria now totally broke and cannot afford to borrow. Future oil production revenue used as collateral for more loans. May 2023: Subsidy gone. |

The thing is , even though I want a reduction in prices of fuel, that would lead us back to the good old days of fuel scarcity and scrap refineries Since I don't want that, best to pay actual prices Fck Tinubu and apc by the way |

Transportation cost is what is keeping it high. Diesel price is between 1,650 to 1,700 against 1,000 to 1,050 that it used to be. States already enrolled in Dangote free delivery should offer lower price for the product. Others would have to recover their transportation cost. |

| Re: Dangote Price Cut Yet To Reflect As Nigerians Buy Petrol At ₦1,300 Per Litre by nairalanda1(m): 10:52am On Mar 12 |
Memphis357:₦65 then ₦140, then ₦97 then ₦87 plus debt and depreciated refineries and loss of billions of dollars to smuggling and to stealing. And more debt. There is a resoan why GEJ wanted to remove subsidy. Nigerians like you said no. Some of us saw the light then and refused to listen to Tinubu and Buhari and Soyinka then |

![]() It could have been much worse to the extent PMS could have been selling right now for N2000 Plus because crude is currently above $100 at the moment. What a very big relief, we all appreciate Alhaji Dangotte for his generous deeds and kindness towards Nigerians. |

helinues:The problem is, at the end, companies and businesses have to make a profit or they die. You can pettiion for subsidy, but it would either be paid in higher taxes, or debt. |
