Why is LASG not investing in power generation, transmission and distribution? How can a country's commercial capital city enjoy power for merely 4 hours daily because there's disruption in gas supply? |

BATified2023:Just shut it and shh. If he stays in Lagos and pays his taxes here, he has every right to call the government if they’re not doing well. Enough with this stale rhetorics. |

alphonsojidebab:It's a good move to electrify the border areas which are often neglected in many Nigerian States. Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has to be more imaginative and dynamic than he is doing with his team of Commissioners by taking advantage of the FACT that President 'Bola Tinubu is in charge of governance at the FG level and Lagos State is located on the coastline which is good for wind turbines and hydro-electricity. However, Lagos State has to urgently invest in high capacity independent power generation using mixed energy sources from wind power to desalination power plants, etc, just like Lagos State had planned to do via the partnership with Enron when the then Governor 'Bola Ahmed Tinubu was in office back in the 2000s. The ormer President Olusegun Obasanjo insidious character scuttled that plan because Tinubu belonged to a different political party (AD instead of the so-called PDP) in addition to illegally withholding the monthly allocations due to Lagos State which the Supreme Court ruled was illegal. |
