Ask him
mamawin:
Sorry, let me ask, at that time the mother was making the sole decision of sending the daughter away, where was the father?
but most likely single mom and those women that control their husband.

Mothers are more closer to the children than fathers. When the mother was taken the decision the father is out looking for daily bread for his family

Edo state has not been able to solve this problem. Really sad. In that state sadly their parents willingly send their children to those country for prostitution.

Most of them were not trafficked. They Japaa voluntarily and when they see that things were not that rosy they change story.
That Her assessment says out of 10 naija women in Italy 8 of them have gone through the school of human trafficking could mean that it was all consensual
Lols...

I can confirm this.

I once had a friend in Jordan. My childhood criminal friend said I could get up to 100-200$ for every female I successfully send over to do house help and whatever caregiving job he mentioned. I refused then but brought the matter up with one of my female friend back then. Her reply after hearing my suspicions that she might end up as a sex slave was shocking. She said it's better than sexing niggas for almost nothing. Believing she'll be handsomely paid. Becky got her wish but regretted it as ordinary 1kobo, she no see until she was literally bought by her current hubby. When she dey narrate her story to me sef, I felt it was like one funny crazy drama.

I read a lot of comments on this platform and wonder if our educational system is still functioning.... I mean it's so hard for some to comprehend even a video message talk more of reading a full article because it's lengthy.... Waste of school fees.

It has been decades Edo state has been fighting this issue, Eki Igbinedion (Lucky's wife and 1st lady) carried it seriously.

It has become part of the culture of Edo state now, parents will willingly send their kids to Italy or Europe to "hustle", parents will happily build house and buy cars and land with proceeds from trafficking and prostitution and Yahoo and proudly boast about it. Same parents will be crying profusely if things don't go well with their kids in the industry.

But will they stop? Never.

How can they stop, when Iye Nosa just built a duplex in Ugbowo with proceeds from her Yahoo son's work or Papa Ehi just bought his 1st car from his daughter's work in Italy?

You cannot say an underaged girl went to prostitution willingly. Shes a child for crying out loud.
The comments are heartbreaking. Apparently the point shes making flew past the head of most people. Nigerians always look for a way to blame the victim

She's still there.
In fact she personally used her money to marry one small boy who can be knacking her very very well. She comes online to say this, so I'm not just coming here to talk based on hearsay

No reasonable man body shames a woman.

You can say any other thing to a woman, but please don't body shame them. They never created themselves.

Many of our ladies go willingly, and if more Nigerian women were invited today, they would likely go as well. I do not see this stopping anytime soon, though it may eventually decrease. The most troubling part is that some mothers actively push their daughters into it. If NAPTIP were more proactive, I am sure we would see a significant reduction, but I honestly doubt that will happen due to widespread bribery and corruption.

Why is she dressed like that ?

She is simply enlightening people on the dangers, negative impact of human trafficking by sharing her story.
We should learn to see people's past, trauma and pain as part of their life and journey.
Everything shouldn't be war!!!

That's where most of our problems originated from, fathers looking for daily bread and leaving other responsibilities for the mothers alone. Women work too, and won't because of that get home and neglect other things that needed their attention.
I agree that some women are weak, and that's more reason a man must not leave some decisions for the woman to make alone.
