This Akpabio is more useless than uselessness itself
Re: Breaking! Abaribe’s Defection Spark Drama— But His Epic Reply Carpet Akpabio, O by seunmsg(m):
Abaribe is a member of APGA and there is no division in his party. He should lose his seat for defection. However, if he claims there is division in APGA, the Senate or any other interested party can take him to court and until judgement is given, he remains a Senator.

I just finished watching the video and it’s very interesting listening to Senator Abaribe’s claim that he was sacked from APGA and did not leave because of division. That’s a new argument that needs to be tested in court. Can a Senator defect to another party without losing his seat if his original party had expelled him? Only the court can rule on this argument.

I have never seen any meaningful or tangible people-centered debate or discussion in this current legislature, it's always about themselves and consolation of their respective positions in the scheme of things . It is allowed when you defect from other parties to APC irrespective of situation in your party but is a mortal sin to defect to any other partyundecided undecided :-

Instances
There have been instances where members of the legislature elected on the APGA platform defected to the ruling party APC. For example, Rt. Hon. Joseph Nwobasi, a member of the House of Representatives representing Ezza-North/Ishielu Federal Constituency in Ebonyi, defected to the APC in June 2025. He cited a desire to support President Bola Tinubu and Gov. Francis Nwifuru as reasons for his defection. ¹

Additionally, there was a mass defection of senators from opposition parties, including APGA, to the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in March 2026, which included Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe from APGA.

The same Senate accepted defectors from NNPP, a party that had no factions.

The Senate accepted defectors from SDP and others,
When okorocha rochas left apga to join APC in 2014 was there any faction in apga ?.

APC is taking Nigerians for a ride

Okorosa Rochas was not defected but participated in political party merger that produced APC in 2014.

It is now I know who Oshomole really is, if he defects to APC there will be no wrong doing but to another party it becomes a taboo.

During Obasanjo era Osho was attacking the government, with protests on every move and people were praising him without knowing that he was after his stomach infrastructure.
