It was pretty good and professional. Both guys told their history and sold the upcoming match.

Now, I don't know if doing that press conference backstage away from the crowd was the way to go. There were boring chants while the conference was ongoing.
The fans in the arena wanted to see it conducted in front of them, not via camera backstage. Also, let us see faces of the journalists asking the questions rather than back of their heads.

the fans didn't like it and I think it's the concept itself they didn't like. It's worrisome especially since they claimed they wanted a sports-based presentation. Wrestling has a way to go.
The punches looked too real though.

what Brody did was the most ridiculous thing I've seen in years, even more disappointed because of the people involved. The thing about AEW is that it's a harbour to all ideas, good, bad and ugly. This was terrible. But I'm sure the press conference hating fans loved it.

The concept isn't any different from the usual contract signing segment. Doing it away from the fans was the issue.
Why I go pay money come see una LIVE for arena, only for u guys to be having a conference backstage?

they are running Mania, and reducing prices everyday - they've reduced AGAIN after the last time. And the Saudi shows are there because that's the only guys that'll give them that money. What if the Saudis get bored (don't say it's not possible, Royal Rumble wasn't sold out)?
Again, if there is no trouble in paradise then they shouldn't be perturbed about ordinary show performance ratings should they?

Apart from Saudi they run international shows.
Nobody asked them to make it expensive. Even AEW tickets which are fairly cheaper by comparison are given out for free when they don't sell.
The Economy dey bite ppl for America coupled with high unemployment rate. People wey never fit afford basic living no go shell expensive cash for wrestling show.

When I say you're biased no vex. Apart from that brief backstage shot at NXT. Nobody affiliates MJF with WWE. So how does him deflecting make it look cool.
AEW signed him from MLW.
Moxley was actually the big name that defected to AEW.
