Our Courts are in a rage. The Appeal Court in Abuja erred in all but that will be topic for another day. Akpakomiza2 zoedew, seunmsg..... I think this effectively closes this topic |

So this is the nonsense PDP candidates will face in all states? Candidates from Wike and Makinde camps will have a field day in court. Lol. So, are you still blaming the governors for dumping the party? Everything is based on emotion for them. Which governor in their right sense will gamble their reelection with court cases? |

Same wine different bottles. How far these 2 mega parties have improved the lives of the common man (in Ekiti) is what I don't understand. Abegi. Make una solve una problems without us knowing or seeing una mud fights. Ekiti people can never be hungry (they are resilient farmers), na Lagos people dey line up for rice. The day of reckoning is coming. If you know you know. |

A sound judgement of the judiciary under APC government! Now it's not going to be judiciary had been bought! Democracy has died! What else do they used to say when judgments doesn’t favours the losers and oppositions? |

fergie001:It changes nothing as far as the status quo is concerned. The Turaki led NWC is dead and buried except there is a miraculous resurrection at the Supreme Court. Looking at the facts of the matter, it will be a miracle plus very bad precedent for the Supreme court to ignore all the irregularities leading to the Ibadan convention and still go ahead to validate it. Again, the matter before this court is not the validity of the Turaki led NWC but the legality of the Ekiti Congress. The judgement does not confer any legitimacy on Turaki and his disbanded group. |

GOLDSON888:Nobody will waste time appealing this judgement. Oluyede can fly the party's flag in Ekiti, it changes nothing for Wike. |

GOLDSON888:Are you insinuating that your preferred PDP faction also bribed the judges? This mindset of faulting the judiciary when cases are decided contrary to our expectations is painting our judiciary in a very bad light. Every dispute has its own merit and the judges decide cases based on facts and evidences brought before them. The judiciary is not a Father Christmas! @hotseat |

EponObi:...it's wike causing the problems..wike is holding and tieng down PDP for Tinubu and APC so that PDP does not have a presidential candidate for 2027.. wike has been telling Nigerians that he will support Tinubu in 2027!..so that is why he is holding and tieng down the PDP party for APC and Tinubu ,. and a this wike tieing and holding down the party caused the defection of PDP governors to APC..so a this by wike are dictatorship not democracy |

seunmsg:This judgement doesn't invalidate what the Appeal Court said in Abuja, but it is the doublespeak from the Appeal Court. Again, nobody is going to the Supreme Court because our Courts are heavily compromised Again, like always you are wrong. But this disbanded group submitted the name of Oluyede. Can you build on a faulty foundation? How can one court invalidate a Convention and another uphold the very platform that endorsed same to INEC. Again I called your attention because you backed INEC's exclusion of Oluyede citing the illegal National Convention (in your own words)... Today whilst one court has said the process leading to the National Convention was on broken legs, another has validated the output from that process, contrary to your earlier disposition. For emphasis: Turaki and Arapaja signed for Oluyede. They are both products of the "illegal National Convention". INEC can still appeal the earlier judgement by Justice Umar if they so wish!

Wickedfact:My initial piont remain valid. I'm not speaking about hunger in the land but on the cruelty your politicians have metted out on the country as a whole. Please it's derogatory to compare people of Ekiti with fowls. You don't cut your nose to spite your face. You can only be a Nigerian and nothing else (except you believe that ideological utopia). I've seen quite much and met the best of companionship in the least expected places. I can never be biased. |
| Re: Ekiti: Appeal Court Affirms Turaki-backed Oluyede As PDP Governorship Candidate by seunmsg(m): 1:04pm On Mar 13 |
fergie001:My positions and arguments haven't changed. The convention was an illegal convention and that has been settled by the Appeal Court. The fact that you are not even supporting the Turaki faction to appeal the Abuja judgement up to the Supreme Court says it all. I also noticed you are no longer calling on the Wabara led BOT to take over PDP leadership. Even Wabara wouldn't have listened to that your legal opinion though. I am glad you all have conceded defeat to Wike. Next step should be to publicly recognize him as the national leader of PDP. You must raise your two hands up while standing behind him and shouting "my leader" ![]() As for my position on Oluyede, I was very clear that INEC did the right thing by excluding him as at that time due to the confusion. I was also very clear that the matter should be litigated up to the Supreme Court by Oluyede and even INEC. You argued against litigating the matter if I can recollect. I am glad he won at the appeal court and considering the latest judgement invalidating the Turaki led NWC, i will still urge INEC or Ayeni to appeal the matter to the Supreme for a final decision. If the Turaki faction fail to appeal the subsisting Abuja judgement, then the Akure appeal judgement cannot stand since those that sponsored Oluyede lacks the capacity to do so. Nobody should be afraid of going to court under any excuse. |

seunmsg:There is a Kenyan adage that says "Why pay the lawyers when you can pay the Judge?' That they won't appeal is not because they do not have a valid case but because they know our courts are heavily compromised. I like your happiness on how our system is been hit by anti-demicratic forces, tomorrow, you will scream IPOB Judge like you did when Mary Odili sacked awaiting Governor, David Lyon. The PDP is depleted and down, the ruling party has finished with LP,PDP and now they have gone to Kingibe, Adeleke and soon will be ADC. Politics like they say can only work when there is a Judicial system that is seen to be fair and free. They will settle but our judicial will be at an all-time low as it is today. As for my position on Oluyede, I was very clear that INEC did the right thing by excluding him as at that time due to the confusion. I was also very clear that the matter should be litigated up to the Supreme Court by Oluyede and even INEC. You argued against litigating the matter if I can recollect. If the Turaki faction fail to appeal the subsisting Abuja judgement, then the Akure appeal judgement cannot stand since those that sponsored Oluyede lacks the capacity to do so. Nobody should be afraid of going to court under any excuse.I join you in urging INEC to go to Court as it helps our jurisprudence. I also believe like I said before, they will get a heavy fine. |

Which camp now has the authentic BOT? With the Appeal Court judgment reportedly nullifying the Turaki-led group, the responsibility to steer and stabilize the party should naturally fall to the legitimate Board of Trustees (BOT). However, the key question remains: which faction truly represents the recognized and lawful BOT capable of providing leadership and direction at this critical time? The party needs clarity, unity, and adherence to due process to avoid further internal disputes and to ensure that the BOT can effectively guide the party toward stability and credible decision-making. |

gare:We are Ina situation where the Courts have fully gotten involved to destroy any opposition at sight. The extermination of PDP is the core mandate of this President, they will come for ADC, it's a matter of time. Courts do not get involved into leadership issues within a Political Party. Under Damagum, there is a BoT, led by Adolphus Wabara. When the Wike-faction constituted theirs, they put Ohuabunwa in-charge..... This is all wrong because these are decisions that should have been carried out by only a legit NWC. Signatures attached were done ordinarily with people (Anyanwu) who had no leadership title as affirmed by the Appeal Court. Everything they have done is a nullity but I understand they already have a laid-down would-be judgement to affirm their National Convention on March 29-30. Wike has nothing to lose, he isn't sponsoring anyone under PDP so it's not his business, Bala and Seyi have everything to lose so I believe they will capitulate because our Courts are gone. Even if they go to the Supreme Court, they won't get reprieve. Our Courts will not let their 'darling' be party-less. Seyi/Bala will sit with Wike and harmonise positions and share who will take what including the BoT, that's today's reality for the sake of their successors. |
