And you are making a point which others have made - in the 1970s the oil crisis ushered in the century of the Japanese car, this may be doing the same for electric cars which were looking like they were on their way out.

Electric cars ain't looking like they're on their way out anytime soon.

It's just the West's way of bypassing the future they've been trying to force on others for years. US and it's allies found out the hard way that they're wayyyyy backwards in terms of tech and battery systems as well as innovation and R& grin

in the electric vehicles segment against China and can't compete favourable with them anytime soon.

So has instead decided to stick to ICE vehicles for the time being, hopefully till when their auto industry catches up to China's.
American big car makers has since given up on EVs cos they know they're still lagging behind, way even behind compared to European makers talk more of China who's the top dog in anything EVs you can talk about now.

Electric vehicles sale is about half of the new vehicle purchases made in China at present and it's the largest car market in the world.
Everyone knows it that's why they're crying about subsidies.

China has been planning for a long time to reduce their dependency on oil and the EV route is one sure way to achieve that. Reason why it's invested so much over the years it's now the world's top dawg in EV tech and renewables.

This era is the Chinese wave. Just like you said that crises propelled Japanese autos, this time and the geopolitics favours Chinese carmakers.

I am talking about you using launching of drones and missiles to discredit air control aims. Air control has nothing to do with launching drones or missiles. Those can be launched even from vehicles.

Air control has to do with ability to operate manned aircraft unencumbered. If you can show evidence of manned Iranian aircraft flying to hit targets you will discredit their claims to a point (at least for air supremacy not air superiority).

This is why Iran targeted those missile defense radar at the beginning of the war. The likes of patriot & THAAD missile defense Interceptor are now partially blind.
