daveP:MKe Una calm down ó. Which one is risk it with 7 games to go and we are not yet assured of winning the league? If na u, will u suddenly introduce youngster like Dowman and an erratic Lewis-Skelly into the starting line-up at this stage when pressure is mounting on us towards the final lap of the season? I support the idea of having Dowman come in like he did yesterday in matches we need fresh legs and creativity like yesterday. I don't support him coming on in a game like Brighton or any other game we needed to hang on a thread to see the game off. I believe the use of these players should be needs-based and not just emotionally based because yesterday's game outcome. This is our most important football season in a very long time and I will hate to see it ruined because the coach decided to risk It all when he didn't need to. |

iamoyindamola:Baba this what was I was trying to say that day. Most of these EPL teams will play low block against us making it difficult for us to score through open play goals. They hope while we are trying to force their defence open by putting more men in attack, we will make mistake and then they will capitalize on it to score us then go back to their low block. Thank God for Jover and Arteta who came up with the set piece option which has allowed us to score these yeye teams despite their low blocks. It's the frustration that arsenal still manages to win despite these teams' low block that is making rival fans and pundits nag about our set piece goals. They want to see us lose so bad and started the campaign about how arsenal is boring....blah...blah. That's why I said we arsenal fans should not indulge them by giving Arteta and the coaching crew the stick for scrapping out a win through corner kick goals. If u notice when we play in the UCL we are always fluid and we don't struggle to score our opponents (except that Leverkusen match which I think may be due to fatigue). The teams come out to play and we ball them hard including Bayern, Inter Milan, Athletico, etc. Na EPL dem go force us to use the set piece option due to their low block and they will turn back to accuse us of being boring |

Suddenly nobody is saying arsenal will bottle the league in April, Arsenal will bottle the league in May.... blah....blah. |

I said it that Manchester City will drop points against West Ham and it happens. Congratulations to us. Don't be surprised that we might have won the league before our match against city. Onto the Leverkusen match. |

This camera angle is everything ![]() Just look at Arteta and Jover standing side by side before that Everton cornerkick that led to Dowman's goal. Arteta tapped Jover to do his thing ![]() Arteta's celebration was priceless ; it's giving the vibe of : We are here to prove the doubters wring this season. https://x.com/mohqoshin/status/2032969213179031698?s=46 |

Looking at that Gabriel's block vs Leverkusen and that Calafiori's block vs Everton yesterday, I see boys who are hungry for glory and currently playing their heart out to secure the league at all cost. They are willing to throw their body on the line. Then I remember we used to parade players like Senderos,Sylvester,Djourou,Gallas,Koscielny,Vermaelen,Squilacci,Paulista,Mertesacker,Mustafi,Sokratis ,Holding,Chambers,David Luiz etc as our defenders in the past. Omo! We have really come a long way o. |

iamoyindamola:I didn't even watch the city match ; I slept almost immediately after our match. I wasn't bothered about city vs West ham because that our win Don already make me confident say whether they win their match or not we already won ours. West ham really did us favor with that draw o. Hopefully we would've wrapped the league up before meeting west ham since they are trying to stay up and not fall into relegation battle fully. I'm happy man city will play Chelsea next which they could draw or even lose sef. And if they win sef, gra gra master like Caicedo fit give players like Halland and Semenyo injure ![]() |

daveP:it was so brave of Arteta to remove a defensive midfielder and introduce Showman. But I don't think he would be automatically starting Showman in the remaining epl games. For skelly, na God hand he dey so, cus even when he's given a chance he doesn't make it worth it anymore as last season. |

iamoyindamola:You guys are currently 9 pts ahead and City have a game in hand meaning that it is potentially 6 pts. You guys have 7 games left, so it is definitely not 4 wins, but rather 6 wins. |

Any update about Oyedepo? I hope he is fine. Omo, I slept like a baby yesterday. Almost got to church late. There's just something about Arsenal that prick emotions. Arsenal usually does things in style. When Gyokeres tapped in that ball yesterday, for seconds, I no fit move. I was like is this real? Abi the stvpid VAR go cancel am? Then Dowman went ahead to do that at 16. This is why we love the club. |

Somebody tells Mikel that he has the same number of EPL goals as Dowman. Dowman is a 40 year old who retired few years ago after almost 10 years in EPL while Mikel is a 16 year old kid. |

We have really come a long way. We have finished second three consecutive times. I strongly believe this season we will get the job done. That title run in 22/23 was a very painful one. Initially, nobody thought we would challenge for the title. But we kept on winning our matches, and then heading into April we were 8 points clear—although Man City had a game in hand. Our lack of squad depth killed us back then. Saliba's injury around March dealt us a huge blow. We ended up drawing with Liverpool, West Ham, and Southampton before eventually losing to Man City. The squad is much more experienced and deeper now. Everyone has put in a good shift even though I criticise them at times. COYG |

mostob:Just watch another wonderful clip on Arsenal page. Arsenal actually flew in Mosquera's mum from Valencia to surprise the guy. He thought he was to be interviewed by a journalist only to meet his mum on the seat. His reaction was priceless. This is not just a football club, it is a family. |

Gabzy1:If not for anything, I want us to win the EPL because of Arteta ; beacuse of the work he's put in to get Arsenal play at this top level for the past 4 years now. He took us from the level where we always lose hope before we face anay top 6 team to we always looking forward to slugging it out with any so called big team. . Of a truth we've really come a long way but laurel have continued to elude us. This has made Arteta to get disrespect from fans and rivals. I'm a firm believer of " Results will cancel insults" and I strongly believe this year is that years Arteta and his boys will get their deserved accolades. |
