femi4:While I agree in what you said by saying not all that criticise Muslims are Christians I don't share the ideology that what Christians or other religion do Muslims must do it. Everybody with his own rituals and doctrines moreso, even in my Christian faith there are different denomination with different rituals and doctrines while the major theme is centralized on being a follower of Christ. Above all the literal definition of fasting is abstaining from food and other available desires in a particular time no specifications whatsoever about when and how to eat? Conclusively, 90% of Christians embarked on dry fasting for 18 hours and not even 24 hours meaning they embarked on 001. |

runningriot:Christianity is not religion. Many of these Ur big pastors are not even Christians in the true sense. People that could complain about evil before Tinubu but today have keep silent because of what they might stand to lose. |

Kingosytex:The earlier yoiu understand that a Meusliim places reliigiion above humanity, the better for yoiu. A Meusilim can morda yoiu without second thought, provided it satisfies his alllla. |

omoredia:Yoiur knowledge is so shialow! Meusliim doesn't have the commandments of Jeisus A Meusliim doesn't love Jeisius A Meusliim doesn't see God as the father of Jeisius No part of that verse concerns a Meusliim at all! |

SixSeven:Don't use yoiur shialow reasoning to judge Chriistiainity or Isleam. Go and study. Get knowledge about the truth and yoiu'll know better than the triash yoiu wrote above. |

IAM4BAT4plus4:This isn't about church. It's about the truth. Do yoiu know that Meuslims call Christians "curzzed people" each time they pray?; And they pray 5 times daily! This means the Meuslim guy call his Chriistiian wife a curzzed person 5 times daily! Yet, they are celebrating fasting together! ![]() So, what's the basis of their union?! And what's there to celebrate in the news?! I guess the guy doesn't understand his reliigiion very well! |

samwash:The old Churches observe lent. Catholics and Anglicans in particular. The Pentecostal Churches have chosen different fasting periods. The important thing is to remember that the Bible emphasizes the need to fast and pray. There are many examples of how people accomplished great things in the Biblical era by so doing e.g. Jesus Christ, Elijah and Esther. |

rock003:My dear correspondent, It is often the case that matters of faith stir deep feeling in the hearts of many. Throughout my years limited life, I found that the most enduring principle in such discussions is respect. Respect for one another, and for the convictions people hold dear. Knowledge, as you rightly suggest, is a noble pursuit. Yet wisdom lies not only in studying the beliefs of others, but also in speaking with civility, even when we disagree. A society that values understanding must allow room for dialogue without resorting to harsh words. Both Christianity and Islam (largest religions in the world), like many traditions of faith, have inspired millions toward charity, patience, and devotion. When discussing them, it serves us well to approach the subject with curiosity rather than contempt, and dignity rather than If one wishes to persuade others of the truth as one sees it, the most effective method is rarely anger as you have displayed, it is calm explanation, thoughtful study, and gracious conduct. And so I would gently suggest sir, pursue knowledge diligently, express your convictions confidently, but always remember that courtesy is the companion of wisdom. With measured regard, I wish you the best in knowing better than the trash you read. ✍️

Oshin56:So because yoiur mum came.from Muslim family, it now means yoiu know about Islam?! What kind of chiildiish shialow reasoning is this?! Oga, go and study Quran and Hadith. Then listen to religion debates on TikTok/Facebook, etc Yoiu can start by reading Qur'an 9:5. Follow it up with Quran 9:29. |

Oshin56:I've given you two Quran verses. Go and read them and ask yourself if d "god" speaking in those verses is the same person that sent Jesus to preach peace. |

rock003:what you are insinuating now, is that Christian is the only true religion? |
| Re: Interfaith Couple Who Are Fasting Together by rock003: 5:36pm On Mar 15 |
SixSeven:Can yoiu show me any Quran verse that says Muslims should be patient with non-Muslims It's not about how well yoiu write; it's by how true are the things yoiu are writing! |

omoredia:I don't understand Christianity is not a religion... then what is it? Who are followers of Christ called? People with some form of counter culture! Whether you like it or not Christianity is a religion! And whatsoever a Christian do is answerable to them if they kowtow and venerate to president Tinubu and comes to do a different thing outside is left to them and God, judgement is not mine and not yours. After all the Holy Bible said not all that call me father will see the kingdom of God! |

TooMuchStuff:A born again and spirit filled Christian marrying a Muslim is being unequally yoked. As a Christian father, his family, particularly his children are one of the primary groups he would give account to Hod for. He has a duty to train them in the way of the Lord. Fulfilling that duty with a Muslim wife is going to be very difficult if not impossible. A chain is as strong as its weakest link. A sprit filled Christian and a Muslim do not operate at the same spiritual level. It is worse if the man is the Muslim because husbands have spiritual authority over their wives. Now this does not mean interfaith marriages cannot exist peacefully and even successfully by world standards. It only means it would be difficult neigh impossible for each to maximize their spiritual potential as a couple. For the average Nigerian Christian and Muslim, it is not a big deal though, particularly in the South West. Northern Muslims view it differently after Dan Fodio's Jihad. |

femi4:Meaning, if you are fasting you should go 24 hours without eating... Tell me in what passage of the Holy Bible or the so called common knowledge was it stated? Christians embarked on 001 fasting most a times... Muslims embrace 101 fasting so what is wrong with that? Just because they do not follow the protocols and tenets of Christianity they are not fasting are they Christians? Don't they have there own rituals? Maybe if a Hindu fast on 000 he will say myself that I am a Christian I am not fasting because I am embarking on 001 does it make any sense! Please wake up to reality...! |
