Rule no 1 don't enter a CAR...
when going public transport I avoid cars like a plague...
I rather trek....

Rule no 2...never put all your money in one bank account or device.... Always spread it...

Rule 3...always pray to God for safety
In my opinion, the 3rd rule should come first. E get why

When it's dark is the perfect opportunity for crime. Before 6am and after 9pm. Try your best to have nothing doing outside at that time. Best solution is to hire an uber.

Op, is it a private car you've been entering to work? Next time shine your eyes.

Bro, thank God for your life.

But one lesson everyone should learn from this your story is to always have a back up, hidden far away.

Oya let's assume you didn't hide that #200 very far, what could you have done?

But then again,if you had done transportation work before, you'd realize that one thing. During my years as a Keke rider,I came across several passengers , especially women who wouldn't board a Keke that has only men as passengers. Perhaps, for security reasons cuz of stories like this which they must had heard or their own passed personal experiences.
These wereys have learned and sometimes do their shady thing with their GF to deceive victims.

Just avoid car of you're alone or avoid it all. Even buses are hardly any safer.

Make our Ori just dey help us dodge and if not may we die without regrets.

Abuja own woman go sit down for front (there member) and the evil guys at the back.

Thing is avoid private cars, avoid tinted cars then most importantly avoid very early morning and late night transport. If you Must use transport at such odd hours then enter bus to avoid story
Re: A Nairalander's Experience With One Chance Robbers by mukthar2000(m): 7:18pm On Mar 15
Always avoid any private cars driver and passgers that rush u to enter.

Like brother enter we go talk the price ,
Like enter enter lasman is here.
Like I don't want that police to cash me .
Like someone inside the car drop for u to enter, telling u that the or she will drop at next bus stop.

Be wise

I remember when I was into rice business, I'd travel from East to North East and north West for paddy rice.

I have been in one of the bush market in Taraba, immediately I left for my hotel, the market was attacked by bandits in broad daylight.

I was thinking about that too. I think they got stuck because they needed his password for further action on the transfer....this country is just full of terrible people. Same with the world but Naija own is excruciating......

Thank your God @op. That loan of ₦140k would have cost you more than ₦200k with interest. Your God did not allow them to withdraw the money before you blocked it.

I closed late at work, my office is in beach land estate a depot cos I had to make sure I submit my sales report. It was around 10pm sunrise under bridge, I just had to hurry entered a bus, then I realised we were only 4 inside cos I sat in front and when the driver said I should enter the back I refused and entered the front. Then I started feeling somehow, then didn't pick anybody else and the driver kept on speeding has God will have it the bus just broke down stopped moving, the other side was the filling station tank and tummy was and the while place was light up. If you see the way I kicked the door open flied put of the bus and ran across the highway with looking left or right. I just collapsed when I crossed the way the bus speed away before people got there was like a movie. Since that day I make sure once the staff bus is leaving na me the first enter. If I die company's work continues.

Please learn from my experience.

On tuesday 10th of this month, I woke and prepared for work as usual and because my workplace is on the island, i wake up as early as 5am and go to work. So on this sad tuesday, I got to the bus stop, a private car stopped and there were 4 guys inside (driver, passenger seat, 2 at the back seat) then i joined them to be 3 at the back seat and i was by the window side.

As the car moved on, suddenly the man in the middle just jump on me and the other guy held my hand, as i was struggling, i heard "we go shoot you oo", so i calm down. Then it dawn on me that i have entered one chance. They were slapped me several times and collected my phone, i gave them my opay password and phone password. They also took all the cash on me except for 200 naira that was deep deep in my pocket.

So they brought my phone to my face to do face verification as OPAY security requires and i did it. They also asked for my laptop and i told them that i am a security man ( grin), i had 15600 in my opay. They also asked for my ATM, i told them i dont use an ATM (this is true).

Then they told me to close my eyes and they poured plenty rob on my eyes then push me out of the car. I struggled to open my eyes until one Aboki guy helped me water then i could be able see.

So i jejely use the 200 in my pocket and went home. I had to use my neighbour phone to call opay and gtb to block my account.

That same day, i went to retrieve my line at mtn office at ikoyi but now, i am so phoneless and the trauma is really taking a toll on me.

Also, i had to log in to my opay through my brothers phone and i realised that they did not take my money but instead borrow a loan of 140k. So in total, it was 156500 (16500 + 140000) then i went to check the transfer history to see that they borrowed a loan. So when i noticed this, i had to message easemoni customer service and explained to them, they were so helpful. I transferred the loan amount to their account and my loan was cleared.

This is a true life story and it definitely happened to me cry
Opay should be banned for making borrowing look that easy

I was once travelling, then when I got to the park, a lady came down and asked me to sit in the middle that she doesn't want to sit in the middle.
This is someone I met at the park oh.
Her supposed boyfriend too was trying to explain to me why she should sit by the door.

The bad eyes I Tey look the bros, I'm sure he respected himself. I told them, I'd rather wait for another vehicle.

When taking a vehicle sometimes, you have to be 100% at alert. The car you are entering is not yours, the people inside too are not your family.
It might sound strange but no where is safe in the world.
Stay active
Na so we de do for Abuja now. Private vehicles are more than commercial but when someone comes down for you to enter middle, just turn your back, don't tell them where you are going, let them be the one to tell you where their going. If you look inside and your mind tells you something is wrong, just ignore the vehicle. It's better you're late to work than being a late

So if he didn't have a dirty 200 naira tucked deep in his pocket, he wouldn't be able to get home? But it was a human being that helped him with water to wash his face bah?

Don't use this mentality to cross express o.
