To the Matter:

I have two candidates vying for same elective position in my state's assembly constituency.

One is contesting under the APC and the other, ADC.

There's a rotation policy that has been in place right from time. There are three clans in that constituency, and the position is rotated among these three clans. No particular candidate returns or seeks reelection at the expiration of his four year term. And now it is the turn of my clan. In this clan, I have, say Mr X and Y.

Mr. X
This man is someone I have known since I was age 8.
He is a former Ward councillor, A personal Assistant to a former House of Assembly member. Luckily, he also got appointed as Secretary to the Local government just a few years back.
He's contesting under The ADC party.
While I was in my final year, I had issues, I couldn't pay my final year tuition fee. I contacted him, explained my situation to him, and he linked me up with his former Boss( Ex House of Assembly member). I visited the Boss at the House of Assembly complex, explained my plight and he gave me Half of my school fees(25k).
I was immensely grateful. This singular act made me feel I'm externally indebted to him and should therefore support his ambition by projecting him in the media space. He already reached out to me to do PR for him.
Though, he isn't well loved by our people because he's so frugal with money. He likes to eat alone, and it's true.
This man is a distant relative of my mum.

Mr. Y

He is my First cousin, hasn't held any political position before, whether by appointment or by elections. But he's our union president and he's more of a comrade. Though, we are not close. But we are first cousins. The only surviving child of his late mum(my aunt). The mum had lots of miscarriages. Like 8 miscarriages. Only this one survived. He has no siblings except step ones. So I believe he's a child of Destiny.
He has also contacted me for my support and PR.


I'm trying to be neutral here so I don't become an enemy.

I need your counsel please.
