Taiwan was smart to sign a deal long time ago and China since the 80s have been more wisely concerned with trade than wars or territorial expansions. So I don't see either side escalating the matter

Is it the whole USA Army in Iran ? It is just a small fraction that are in Iran. The Americans cannot allow so many soldiers die so they will limit the number in Iran. Now if China invades Taiwan US will have to send more troops to Taiwan meaning more soldiers will die against the wishes of the American people. One thing is for sure even if America sends more troops Iran is a very big country and it will end up being like Iraq 2.0 were so many soldiers died America would never make that mistake again and will most likely broker peace.

Infact this is the best time the Chinese can take over Taiwan easily and the opportunity of justification has presented itself because if America can attack Iran why can't the Chinese unify by force a country that belongs to them and it's either they do it now or never because the American will keep using the tawian to foster troubles within the Chinese borders that's what they intend with Ukraine that makes the Russians to take action... And this is what they will never tolerate within their own borders.

If the Chinese are wise it will takes them few days to take over Taiwan now that the American are busy with the war in Iran it will be difficult for them to support Taiwan or fight or two front line ... And if they give pem support to the tawian by means of weaponry or join the war to support Taiwan then the Chinese can now go all out to start supplying dangerous weapon for the iran and join iran to flush them out of middle east finally

Meanwhile the Russians are waiting patiently for major western countries in Europe to join the iran war so that they can supply deadly weapons to Iran to hit them hard as a pay back for the support and weapons they have been giving the Ukrainian against the russians. Event unfolding in coming days might just be interesting.

The US is just too overhyped and majority of the people who talk here are not even students of history. Do your research well, Taiwan is truly part of China but is not under the government of China in any way (economy, security, educational system, government) they're like a country of their own, with their president different from China, and they're not in Chinese mainland, they're island, they're being supported, backed, and sponsored by US and Japan and some other western countries like UK, Germany and France.

US, with their current military experience, equipment and facilities they can wage war against many nations and win.

many on here don't understand why China has been holding down to annex Taiwan not because they can't,by displaying their military might over Taiwan&annex the country through force but they are taking the socio-economic impact into consideration because one their biggest customer is US no doubt about it&their second is EU....if both sanction China products it will take a massive toll on their economy negatively considering their population that will be plunge into economic catastrophe.....Africa"s market alone cannot sustain their economy......Many commenters here are saying this is the right opportunity to take over Taiwan....Are you telling me they are not aware just as you are aware....But critical thinking & planning is their present watchwords...This is the most reason why Africans fail because they like to jump at every opportunity without critical reasoning.Lemme just stop here
