According to Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, Japan is not considering sending naval vessels to the Middle East to aid I efforts surrounding the security of the Strait of Hormuz and the wider region. Japan has, however, agreed to participate in drawdowns of its strategic oil reserves, as a part of a multinational effort of the International Energy Agency to stabilize the market. LordAdam16: |

⚡Former White House energy adviser Bob McNally says there’s basically no policy fix if the Strait of Hormuz stays disrupted: There are no policy solutions to a prolonged closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Government tools like escorts, oil reserve releases, or gas tax cuts are marginal… symbolic… sideshows. You’ve got to restore the flow of the Strait of Hormuz. Even ending the war might not help: “No guarantee.”

⚡Trump said China should help reopen the Strait of Hormuz, arguing Beijing depends heavily on oil flowing through the waterway. “I think China should help too because China gets 90 per cent of its oil from the Straits.” He warned he wants Beijing’s position before his planned summit with Xi Jinping, suggesting the meeting could be postponed if China does not act. “We’d like to know before that. We may delay.”

⚡Trump is considering seizing Kharg Island, which handles about 90% of Iran’s crude exports, if the Strait of Hormuz blockade continues. U.S. officials say capturing the island could deliver “an economic knockout of the regime.” The plan would require U.S. boots on the ground and a military occupation of the island. Officials warn it carries major risks, including Iranian retaliation against Gulf oil facilities and pipelines, especially in Saudi Arabia. One official said “there are big risks, there are big rewards.”

⚡Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been regularly advising Donald Trump during the war to “keep hitting the Iranians hard.” The two leaders have been in frequent contact throughout Iran conflict. |

⚡Trump said NATO could face a “very bad” future if US allies refuse to help the US secure the Strait of Hormuz during the Iran war. “It’s only appropriate that people who are the beneficiaries of the Strait will help.” “If there’s no response or if it’s a negative response I think it will be very bad for the future of NATO.”

⚡Trump: Iran has long been known as a Master of Media Manipulation and Public Relations. They are Militarily ineffective and weak, but are really good at “feeding” the very appreciative Fake News Media false information.

Seun:You have to understand that this is one of the very few threads that is not overridden by pro-Israel/US extremists on this forum. Nobody here would want to engage people whose only take on geopolitics is that Israel and USA cannot do wrong even if they invade all countries on the planet or kill all brown people. To be fair, even the pro-US people here are by a large degree more reasonable than 90% of the pro US Nairalanders that we see on other threads. Moreover, you or your moderators tend to pander to their bias to the point of posting fake news on front page. It is also on this same thread that we dicussed Pakistan-Afghanistan conflict, India-Pakistan conflict, Saudi-Arabia-UAE, Thailand-Cambodia, etc. The Iran-US war is currently the latest and I'm sure that in a couple of weeks, the Special Military Operation will dominate the thread again. |

⚡Trump: Iran has long been known as a Master of Media Manipulation and Public Relations. They are Militarily ineffective and weak, but are really good at “feeding” the very appreciative Fake News Media false information. Now, A.I. has become another Disinformation weapon that Iran uses, quite well, considering they are being annihilated by the day. They showed phony “Kamikaze Boats,” shooting at various Ships at Sea, which looks wonderful, powerful, and vicious, but these Boats don’t exist — It’s all false information to show how “tough” their already defeated Military is! The five U.S. Refueling Planes that were supposedly struck down and badly damaged, according to The Wall Street Journal’s false reporting, and others, are all in service, with the exception of one, which will soon be flying the skies. Buildings and Ships that are shown to be on fire are not — It’s FAKE NEWS, generated by A.I. For instance, Iran, working in close coordination with the Fake News Media, shows our great USS Abraham Lincoln Aircraft Carrier, one of the largest and most prestigious Ships in the World, burning uncontrollably in the Ocean. Not only was it not burning, it was not even shot at — Iran knows better than to do that! The story was knowingly FAKE and, in a certain way, you can say that those Media Outlets that generated it should be brought up on Charges for TREASON for the dissemination of false information! The fact is, Iran is being decimated, and the only battles they “win” are those that they create through AI, and are distributed by Corrupt Media Outlets. The Radical Leftwing Press knows this full well, but continues to go forward with false stories and LIES. That’s why their Approval Rating is so low, and I can win a Presidential Election, IN A LANDSLIDE, getting only 5% positive Press — They have no credibility! I am so thrilled to see Brendan Carr, the Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), looking at the licenses of some of these Corrupt and Highly Unpatriotic “News” Organizations. They get Billions of Dollars of FREE American Airwaves, and use it to perpetuate LIES, both in News and almost all of their Shows, including the Late Night Morons, who get gigantic Salaries for horrible Ratings, and never get, as I used to say in The Apprentice, “FIRED.” Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP |

⚡Trump on Iran: They've notified everybody and they put out statements that if you protest, you're going to be shot and killed. The protesters have no guns. And I know you're a brave person, but I don't think you'd be protesting. And so I think it's very hard for them to protest. I fully understand it. They said if you protest, you will be killed.

⚡Reporter: Are there any diplomatic talks going on between the U.S. and Iran at all right now? Trump: We’re talking to them. But I don’t think they’re ready — but they’re getting pretty close. I don’t know that I want to make a deal because, you know what, first of all, nobody even knows who you’re dealing with because most of their leadership has been killed, as you know, right? So I don’t even know that we want to make a deal. They want to make a deal badly — yes.

⚡Trump on Iran: We're always there for NATO. We're helping them with Ukraine — it's got an ocean in between us, doesn't affect us — but we've helped them. It'd be interesting to see what country wouldn't help us with a very small endeavor, which is just keeping the strait open.

LordAdam16:We said it here that, European allies are going to let him roam the war road alone once he enter the dragon in Iran, and that's exactly what is happening. That Greenland misadventure is the devil's sucker punch the Trump admin gave itself on the road to this ME debacle. While the majority of them publicly feigns solidarity with him on Iran, they're laughing him to scorn behind closed doors. Pedo"s tweets, threats and counter treats are becoming such a sorry sight to behold. At a time when nations are looking for ways to get their much needed energy supplies across the strait, Japan SK inclusive, Trump will have to convince demons to come to his aid on this one. Honestly, I sometimes feel sorry for him. The best thing he can do right now is to declare victory and move out before this thing boomerang even harder on him. |

⚡Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned that a “Polexit” — Poland leaving the EU — is now a “real threat.” Tusk accused nationalist forces, including allies of Karol Nawrocki and the Law and Justice (PiS) party, of pushing the country toward EU exit. He called such a scenario “a catastrophe” and vowed to “do everything” to stop it. Tusk also claimed forces seeking to “break up the EU” include Russia, the MAGA movement in the U.S., and European far-right leaders led by Viktor Orbán.
