The reason Amaechi did not get anything from Tinubu's government is because he distanced himself from the party and their campaign after the primaries. He did not support the party all through the campaign and that was another reason for Tinubu reaching out to Wike. Just as Atiku distanced himself from Buhari's 2014/15 campaign after loosing the primaries.

If you like talk from now till tomorrow, Buhari didn't support anyone and the cabal including the national chairman of the party supported Lawan. And in 2014/15 Atiku didn't join the Buhari campaign after losing the primaries you can verify.
