Do you eat ekuru dry? Go and ask whoever introduced it to you. Here, we eat ekuru with very rich sauce, full of assorted fish, crayfish, iru, onion etc.

There's one calabar soup wey Dem go cut periwinkle bottom away con cook the head without removing the shell like say Dem dey blow whistle when eating it with swallow.

What a bum! Ever since I tasted okpa, I've not been able to pass by it without buying. That particular taste is the sole reason. People dey sha, but who asked her?

While I disagree with her, it's a different case for ekuru. Nobody eats ekuru like that, at least, not Yoruba people. We eat it with pepper sauce that usually have some other things like ponmo and meat.

Okpa is the best snack in the world today, enjoyed in many different flavours and methods of preparation. There are festivals framed around okpa and it's still advancing in popularity.

There are many variants of this great food

Okpa with egg
Okpa with fish
Okpa with vegetables
Okpa with meat
Okpa with local spices
What about the okpa without oil, appearing white and eaten on some native festivals, that tastes superb.

Okpa is not a snack. That is a full meal.

Only in Nigeria, that people look at food without the lens of its health benefits.

Please leave ekuru out of it. Ekuru is good and it's not made to be eaten alone like okpa.

hmm most likely the tiny chance that he had a terribly made one. I dont see how anybody can dislike well-made hot okpa. Its just too good!

It's not possible for it to taste well for everyone but what majority says about it is what really counts i have seen white people commending it after having a taste of it.
