bugatti453:Your brother has to process another letter of declaration, the letter is valid for only 6 months for visa purposes. So the one you uploaded last year is no longer valid for visa purposes. |

Smokyasl:He processed a new letter today 13th. Duration of obligation on the new letter starts 1st of May, Is that the reason they're rejecting the new letter I uploaded? |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Nobody: 10:15pm On Mar 13 |
bugatti453:I think what they mean is that 1st of may is too far cause your your visa is likely to be approved/processed before then given the time frame for processing and the start date should be closer like a day in March (this month) |

Lilyyyy:Thanks for this info. Is there a way to contact the embassy, especially via email to really confirm this. At least my bro wants me to do that and not just duel on assumptions. I'd really appreciate any info on how to do that |

Missmarola:Congratulations! Going through the trend, I saw that you joined the waiting list in July and were able to book your interview by the second week of February. Please let us know how you were able to resolve the issue with the birth certificate you asked about here earlier. Also, kindly share your experience and any tips that could help others. Thank you. |

Please can I use IELTS for language proficiency if I’m applying as a laboratory technician? |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Alikeychuks(m): 10:24pm On Mar 14 |
Ohyeenherdun:IELTS is specifically for English language testing not German. There are a few approved German learning centers you can enrol, the popular one is Goethe institute. They’re in Lagos. I think they’re the only approved learning institute for German language sin Nigeria though I stand to be corrected |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Ohyeenherdun: 1:04am On Mar 15*. Modified: 9:04am On Mar 15 |
Alikeychuks:Are you saying I can only use German language proficiency not English ? |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Alikeychuks(m): 9:36am On Mar 15 |
Ohyeenherdun:Yes if you’re applying for chancenkarte(opportunity card) or any other German visas |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Ohyeenherdun: 12:34pm On Mar 15 |
Alikeychuks:So English language proficiency is no longer accepted because I saw it as part of their requirements |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Laryfrosh: 6:27pm On Mar 15 |
Alikeychuks:I don't think proficiency in German is required for the OC route. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Alikeychuks(m): 6:50pm On Mar 15 |
Laryfrosh:You’re right that must be a mix up from me, generally German proficiency is required for some of their visas as such the mix up. Thanks for the correction |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Ohyeenherdun: 7:15pm On Mar 15 |
Laryfrosh:So can I use IElTS if I’m applying as a laboratory technician |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Laryfrosh: 8:09pm On Mar 15 |
Ohyeenherdun:I am not sure what is required for your case but I am sure if you read through the chancekante website, you will get all the info you need. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by elayomohammed(m): 9:34pm On Mar 15 |
christian3:Yes. Upload your CV and RP in the other documents section. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Alikeychuks(m): 3:57pm On Mar 16 |
Ohyeenherdun:I’m not sure there’s any language proficiency requirement for OC visa whether English or German but you can check their website, you would find your answers |

Pls I have 2 questions concerning the opportunity card application 1. I would like to know if German language certificate is part of the documents requested to be submitted 2. I wanted to apply online, but it's only Lagos that's available online while Abuja which is close to me is not available online; submission is done physically to the visa office. Please I need an advice on which to use that will grant a fast response. |

Good afternoon everyone. please can you guys help us by telling us if anyone who joined the waiting list around 20 August or so has been called. I think the last person that dropped update said he or she joined 13th of August. Thank you very much |

Good Afternoon all. This thread has been very informative. Please, the people that have successfully migrated to Germany, how is life over there? Cc @diceman8, others. Thank you. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Laryfrosh: 2:26pm On Mar 17 |
Nuelojei38:I think they are picking 10 days per batch now. I might be wrong though but that is what I have observed so far from the pattern... And most likely, they are currently on August 20th... So, next batch should be the rest of August before they get into September... And it takes between 2 - 3 weeks to move from one batch to another. I might be wrong with my observation though |

Hello Everyone, please what date am i expected to fill for the intended length of stay in germany. Thank you
|
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by wazobeer: 5:48pm On Mar 17 |
Penny01:For now you can't apply together with a partner, unless the person also qualifies but it must be an individual application. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by wazobeer: 8:52pm On Mar 17 |
Funmibiayo:Put an estimated date with 1 year duration, starting from at least 6 months from now, i.e. September 2026 to September 2027. That would make sense because you won't likely get called before then and that's even a minimum waiting period in my estimation. Eventually you might even be asked to extend it further by the time they start your preliminary review. But for now, that September 2026 is ok. |
| Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by luckygirl02(f): 12:30am On Mar 18 |
Aderonke2025car:She joined the waiting list July 6. Preliminary review invite was Dec 28. Interview was February 17. |
