Have Faith in My Father; he is Steering Nigeria in a Direction Never, Ever Seen Before — Seyi Tinubu

Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and support his father’s leadership, describing him as a leader committed to fixing long-standing challenges in the country.

Speaking passionately, Seyi called on citizens to “have faith” in the president, saying his administration is steering Nigeria in a direction “never, ever seen” before. He also revealed that he continually prays for his father’s life and hopes for a second term in office.

According to him, President Tinubu is not ignoring the nation’s problems or leaving them for future leaders, but is actively working to address them now. He likened Nigeria’s situation to a building with cracks, stressing that his father is focused on repairing the foundation so future generations won’t inherit the same issues.

“He has seen the cracks and instead of walking away, he’s trying to fix them today,” Seyi said, adding that the goal is to create a stronger and more stable country for young Nigerians and generations to come.

He concluded his remarks by wishing his audience safe travels and offering prayers for the nation, reinforcing his message of optimism and long-term progress under his father’s leadership.

There is a deliberate impoverishing of Nigerians and weaponization of their plights and hardship for political gain.

This is next level, the type seen in cults where people are stripped of their possessions, and made to be dependent on the group.

This should be labeled a crime against humanity.

N500 billion budgeted for only Imams for reelection, yet 62% of Nigerians are suffering extreme hardship

I miss obasanjo government of 1999 to 2007. B4 obasanjo government, most families were tenants, car owners were government officials and school principals, who had just one oh. Bread and tea was for super rich and not everyday.obasanjo said he hated to hear that workers reward was in .heaven.he brought prosperity to our door steps. Demand for goods (businessmen) and services (workmen) increased by 5 times at least. . businessmen had to collect bank loans cos of very high demand.in fact, people looked down on those traveling out, cos 80% of whatever you were looking for there, obj made it possible here .Baba, God will bless you with good health, long life. From Abacha to Now: Are We Watching Opposition Politics Being Silenced Again?

In 1998, under Sani Abacha, Nigeria had five political parties; the United Nigeria Congress Party, Congress for National Consensus, Grassroots Democratic Movement, Democratic Party of Nigeria, and National Centre Party of Nigeria.

But in reality, there was no opposition.

All five endorsed one man.

No competition. No resistance. No real choice.

Today, under Bola Ahmed Tinubu, we are told we are in a democracy. Multiple parties still exist on paper. But what is happening in practice?
• Opposition figures are defecting in droves
• Opposition parties are entangled in endless internal crises
• Political pressure and strategic alignments are shrinking the space for dissent

Let’s stop pretending this is normal.

You cannot have real competition when the opposition is constantly weakened, divided, or absorbed.

You cannot claim healthy democracy when alternative voices are struggling to stay visible, organized, or effective.

And you certainly cannot ignore the pattern:
A system where power keeps consolidating on one side, while the other side keeps collapsing.

This may not look exactly like Abacha’s era, but it is dangerously familiar in direction.

Back then, it was forced consensus.
Now, it looks like engineered dominance.

The method may be more refined.
The outcome could be the same.

A nation without a strong opposition is not practicing democracy, it is rehearsing control.

As 2027 approaches, Nigerians must ask hard questions:

Are we strengthening democracy…
or slowly surrendering it?

- No day without kidnapping incident and killings
- Banditry industry most promising because it is now billion naira industry
- darkness now reigns supreme, while grid collapse break all time records
- country overtaking India with the highest number of impoverished souls
- All these and more achievements to the extent that city boy movement has Kickstarted campaigns in major cities even before the official, allowed date before national election

If these are not territories and boundaries past leaders have not been able to cross, then come and explain.
