A Nigerian man has been left devastated after losing his wife shortly after donating a kidney to save her life, in a story that has sparked emotional reactions across social media.

The man, identified as @musco-grins on X (formerly Twitter), had earlier shared his journey online, revealing his decision to undergo a kidney donation procedure for his ailing wife. Eyes Of Lagos reports,

“I want to say thank you to everyone who has supported me on this app. I’ll be deactivating my account for now. I’m currently in the hospital to donate my kidney to my woman because she is sick,” he wrote.
