The SE politicians must unite in agreement that alignment with Tinubu is a promising pathway to future presidency.

What is simple and clear is: Tinubu currently has strong political control and followership in the SW and SS. SE presidency's alignment with Tinubu now, clearly promise entire southern support. Furthermore, the loyal support for an Igbo presidency can be more guaranteed in the entire south, because the southern region shares more than just the region. There are also fair share of culture, religion, ethnicity (especially through inter-marriages and inter-migration).

For the northern regions, even Tinubu is still struggling right now for sufficient and sustainable control. Personally, I think it will take a lot (much more than simple politics) to convince a core Northerner to cast his vote for a Christian Igbo president.

A full southern support may only require less work from the Northern regions, to achieve Igbo presidency.

Thats not nonsense talk if SE is still seriously interested in the presidency.
gbam, u get some very well. I hope the igbos will use their sense this time, if they don't, next 20 year no presidency be dat

I don't really like this man called Soludo but he has seen the pathway come 2039 for the SE region, what the SE and SS region brings to the table in 2027 general election will determine who gets the presidency ticket in 2039 (don't forget what SW brought to the table 2015 and what played out 2023).
As long as I know my region SS is for APC and I will be glad to see the SE throw and waste their votes on that Agulu man who has no trust in orders be but just himself alone.

How does Tinubu's 'seeming' strong political control and followership help ndi Igbo after Tinubu's presidency?

It is common knowledge that power shifts to the North after Tinubu. Are you saying that Tinubu will still wield such control and influence even after 8 years of Northern presidency? Should ndi Igbo not be brokering a deal with the North instead of Tinubu or the Southwest?

I truly don't know how we understand politics in the Southeast. Tinubu can't hand over to the Southeast. We are only being fooled.

The Tinubu presidency does not intersect with the Igbo presidential aspiration. We should be going for a strategic, watertight deal with the North, starting with the Vice Presidency.

I appreciate your post and it takes a keen observers to find the truth in your post. Which is that this is for the benefits of SE politicians and not the people. This brings me to my point, that Soludo is saying it because he believes that if SE decides not to pursue the presidency this time, that puts it at the end of his tenure and very much allows him to contest.

The sad thing about his proposal is that it is only to the advantage of the political class. If he had the interest of the average Nigerian at heart, his statement would have been focused mainly on ensuring that the SE and every other Nigerians vote for a candidate that will move the nation the forward. His position is simple to get the Igbo political class into power after Tinubu's terms irrespective of the state of affairs of the nation in the next four years and how that affects the ordinary citizen.

When will Nigerians wake up and understand that this is between the rich and the poor? These politicians don't care about the masses

I cannot understand why people cannot see we really have no other choice but PO. We need a change badly. Economy is in tarters, Japa reached an all time high, insecurity has increased badly. This is not the time to raise up glasses and " say half empty and half full ". Charles Soludo has fallen my hand in the way he handled the sit at home thing by given them more sit at home. He has proven he cannot comprehend his environment and what needs to be done in his environment. He clearly cannot comprehend national issues.

I like your comment because it is very mature and also insightful. However, in looking at what the most vivid events are, I do not see Tinubu being alive and losing control of political structures in Nigeria, at least till 2031. It is only wise to work with this reality. Look at the prevailing south-north rotation agenda, 2031 may not even promise SE, presidency (as you may be assuming for Soludos plans). However, it will eventually come back to the south, when, hopefully, the south could be united for an Igbo presidency (Soludos plans may actually be this much futuristic) .

Lols very tricky talk from you, as if South East Presidency should be a pity than a fair love shared by the South...

A core Northerner can vote for a Christian Igbo President if tribes like Yoruba can rally around the Christian Igbo man but where have you seen such donehuh

The problem of the South East is not actually North voting for them but A part of South betraying the South to go and form political brotherhood with them for the selfish interest of having either Vice President or President slot....

If South West can tell themselves the truth, is time to rather support a South Eastern President....

1999- 2006....Yoruba President

2015- 2023…..... Yoruba Vice President

2023-2027.......Yoruba President...

Let it be known to Nigerian that only the votes of the North can never make a President ....

Only the votes of the South West can never make a President ...

Only the votes of the Igbos can never make a President ....

And from all indications, in Nigerian Politics today, South West now runs to North to collabo with them inorder to gain more votes and even to the point of erasing the normal Muslim President/ Christian Vice President....

After 2031.... Northerners will start pushing for a Northern President but imaging Atiku to be said to come second in the 2023 Presidential election where nothing should concern the north in such an election but he came second because of the hatred other Nigerians have for the IGBOS....

Soludo doesn't know what he is saying, if Igbos should rally over Tinibu to win 2027 election, will be betray the North the way him and Yorubas betrayed the South South and entire South in 2015 to give IGBO the Presidency in 2031huh

Will the North agree to such without causing violence and all sorts of nonsense in Nigeriahuh

Your guess is as good as mine....

Tinibu has no power to influence such a Political moves and he will only do it for the North than for the Igbos .....

So instead let the Yorubas rally over the Igbos to atleast produce a President before the North takes over in 2031...

Because the same Yorubas will come back to play Politics in 2039 looking for another slot and sidelining Igbos and South South ....

If Tinibu can say that Yoruba and Fulanis are brothers, then it should tell you that the Political destinies of the South South and South East to produce a President only lies in the hand of God and not int he hands of Tinibu or North....

I laugh at People that said South South has produced a President , is entirely lies because South South never had an elected President but a President that took over after the death of a Northern President....and when it was crystal clear to become an elected South South President, Yorubas came and swore it will never happen..

The Problem of Nigeria or rather Southern Nigerian can't be far from the corridors of Yoruba Politics....

When will the entire Yorubas rally over an Igbo South Eastern man to produce President of Nigeria huh? It can never be done I guesshuh

So why will you preach same to Igbos huh?
