Pls is there anyone with this similar issue, my dell latitude 5401 just started taking forever to charge full, I've change it to express charge & standard in bios it's same thing .

Even at 63% it's showing 3hours to get full, however at battery low, it'll take like 6-7hours to get full and am using the required 130W charger to charge it

When you check the battery information in the bios settings, what's the battery health?

excellent. I've changed charger to another same 130W.. it's charging well now

ọmọ I tried again when I got home still stopped at 81% showing 2hours plus to full charge.. I restarted it shows 100%, then i tried my old 130w in a direct wall socket not on extension anymore.. my old charger sef dey charge fine now.. I'll return the one I bought tomorrow

For further troubleshooting:

1. Download the latest BIOS version of your laptop from Dell website
2. Download and install all the latest chipsets
3. Do same for Intel Management System and Dell Power Management etc

After exploring the above options and the issue persists you may need to replace the battery.

Also check the charging port PIN to be sure it did not push inside slightly transferring inadequate watts to the motherboard.

Go to device manager, locate batteries, uninstall all drivers there and restart your laptop.

if they use nairaland well.. they'll see MENTIONS notifications at the top. However the person i even chatted here on WhatsApp felt pompous. Read my msg and ignore it on WhatsApp..

It's simple, after downloading on your phone since that's where you downloaded from the picture, transfer it to your laptop.

Make sure your laptop is plug in, run the app and follow the prompt, allow it to update that's all.
