This is not a case of resetting password. This must be treated by an IT staff. It happens if you leave your portal for a long while. I am not sure you registered last semester.
If you are yet to send a complaint, I can help you. Just send your matriculation number via my mail on my DP.
Thank you. It's been fixed.
Re: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Abdul4trust1(m):
Another graduation list has been released yet my name didn't make. It's not because I have carry over or I failed. My crime is that I started from 300l with HND still, 200l courses are standing on my statement of results as outstanding.

I'll never encourage my enemy to study at NOUN, never.

Today, God's willing, I'll raise a ticket once again to voice out my frustration to them and letting them know how I'll never recommend NOUN for my enemies.

If you ever wanted to study at NOUN via 300l, please don't. Indirectly, they'll surely start you from 200l.

I regret ever coming to NOUN.

Good morning people.

I have responded to you many times but seems you choose to believe the issue is from those outstanding. I will repeat this again that if you enter from 200L, you will see 100L outstanding courses on your statement of result on the support site. When this can affect you is if your level of entry was not captured appropriately. You should focus your complain on that rather than the outstanding courses you are mentioning. Tell them to correct your entry level to 300L. Support your complaint by attaching your admission letter and the relevant qualification(s) that qualifies you for 300L. This is what you should focus on.
Lastly, even those that are done and not having any of these issues, it is not all that their names are out. More lists will still come out before convocation. Wishing you the best of luck bro.

Hi, @Enskynelson

You are doing a great job here.

I fully understands @Abdul4trust1 very well, perhaps, more than you do, because we are wearing the same shoe. I equally joined through 300 DE, did my last exams 2 semesters ago and yet to see my name on the graduation list as well.

I want to say it clearly that NOUN was never prepared for this 300L intake before rolling it out for admissions.

First, the Credit Unit (CU) requirements for graduation for a 200L DE 90 CU, obtained through 6 semesters of study. I'm shocked that NOUN would also require a 300L DE, that has only 4 semesters, to obtain the same 90 CU.

In Economics Department, for example, the minimum compulsory Core courses and the Electives for each of the four semesters in 300L & 400L are 22, 23, 23 & 18 CUs respectively, making a total of 85 CU. This also includes the NOU107 & Research Project.

Going by the above, how do you expect a 300L DE student to obtain 90 CU?

It is obvious that such students were expected to take some courses in lower level. This means extra semesters and it was never communicated to students.

Now reflect on this also, the max CU per semester is 24 CU. With the minimum courses & their total CU I listed earlier, what if a student gets a Carry Over? How do you expect the student to take the courses for the current semester & the Carry Over, considering the 24 CU cap per semester?

The institution is poor with academic planning & management.

I had to raise a ticket when I found my self in this dilemma. The response I got was that I have to do some courses in 100L, 200L and all the GSTs in all levels. I was shocked. This is a clear negligence on the school by not communicating these things to students. I cant even remember the last year the students handbook was updated.

This is the same school that have on several occasions advised DE students to do only NOU107 in addition to their respective level GSTs only. This advise is on record.

Pause, and reflect on this also. A student have max of 24 CU per semester. If he/she is expected to do some courses in lower levels in addition to courses amounting to almost 24 CU in the current semesters, how do you expect the student to finish in 4 semesters as a 300L DE, considering the 24 CU cap.

By last two semesters ago, I have completed the extra 9 CU that I was advised to do in those 100l & 200L, yet uptill now with my 111 CU, I'm yet to see my name on the graduation list.

Recently, they announced admission into MSc Accounting and others. I pity the first set of people that will be admitted to do such programmes. Even the admission portal is yet to be optimised to take those students up till now, and TMA1 is running already.

NOUN is not organised and very far from being a noble institute.

I quite understand all the points you have raised and your observations are quite correct. Have tried sending the above to the academic registry?
I understand there are some conflicting info out there... it is clearly NOU107 that is compulsory for DE students (cos I know 200L students who registered only that courses and graduated). But when you reach out to complain, the staff support will dish out something entirely different and contradictory which is very unfortunate.
I have not had a direct 300L DE student under me to give you recommendations based on experience but the suggestions I gave were based on 200L DE students.
Check my DP. My email is there. Kindly send your details let me see if there is anything we can do. If your department is at the HQ in Abuja, we can see how to get someone to follow up with a complaint there and get feedback. This has to be looked into.
Expecting your mail.

Both.

You can submit your course registration slip to the library section to issue you books. Note that you will not be given all of the course textbooks, only the available ones.

The second one, and the easiest is to download it from the school's repository. It is free. Or you can do a Google starch on the course textbooks. For instance, google "cit 104 noun download". It will provide the school link for you to click and download.

The JAMB number is currently not required for the admission. Kindly go and process the admission without that.
