⚡NASA FIRMS satellite data now corroborates fires at Ras Laffan, Qatar including at the Shell Pearl GTL plant, the world's largest gas-to-liquids facility, and the QatarEnergy Condensate refinery. MODIS thermal anomaly detections from March 18 show two fire points at 100% confidence, with a Fire Radiative Power reading of over 1,400 megawatts. For context, that is an exceptionally large industrial fire. Qatar's Interior Ministry has confirmed the fires following alleged Iranian missile strikes. If that’s no enough- now Qatar is against Iran. What can I say - it can’t get any better.. Qatar’s MFA: The State of Qatar expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the blatant Iranian attack targeting Ras Laffan Industrial City, which caused fires resulting in significant damage to the facility. Qatar considers this attack a dangerous escalation, a flagrant violation of its sovereignty, and a direct threat to its national security and regional stability. Qatar expels Iranian diplomats following tonight's attack Following the Iranian attack tonight on the oil facilities in Ras Laffan, Qatar is expelling the military attaché and the security attaché at the Iranian embassy in Qatar. They have been declared persona non grata and given a 24-hour ultimatum to leave Qatari territory.
