A baby was found in a pipe of Naraguta female hostel of the University of Jos. A Student gave birth and flushed the baby in the toilet. It got stuck and blocked the pipe rendering students helpless and unable to use the toilets.

The authorities of the University then invited plumbers to come and check the cause of the blockage. They broke the pipes and behold a baby was found as the cause of the blockage. Investigation is still ongoing as at the time of writing this story.

Even if the father deny the baby why not give birth, inform the student Union and they will force the useless boy to take responsibility or else he get rusticated

She will not be at home as swell. She will likely be in school because anyone who is not around will be the first set of preliminary suspect and she will not want her parents, especially her mom, to suspect her strange body tone etc.

Because the society will criticise her and shame her for being pregnant and her education pursuit will be ruined. Her parents and family image will also be tinted. So she took her chances.

I think it is time as a society we moved away from shaming teen mothers, and spend such energy on effective preventive measures. Like proper sex education not just the youngones but also their parents.

There is a difference between an excuse and understanding the underlying behaviour behind someone's action. Understanding the reasons does not clear them or diminish the magnitude of the offence. Rather it provides the basis for finding effective solution.

Don't pretend as if societal and peer pressure isn't a thing. That is how society has been able to maintain itself and prevent breakdown of rules and orders.

I don't know you, but I won't be wrong to say that if you look closely you will notice that most people you know make important decision about marriage, child birth, relationship, choice of school, choice of course to study in the university, choice of clothes to wear, choice of phone to use, in relation to what is either obvious or subtly acceptable within their social circle or community. It is true that these influence are pronounced more in some than others.

I guess she is an example of those who are easily influenced.

You see women, they are dangerous. A woman will born and look into the face of the innocent babe and strangle the baby.

Don't be surprised that throughout the period of this pregnancy, that phoolish lady never exhibited any form of pains. Ppl around her never knew she was pregnant.
She may have also locked herself up in the room and delivery herself of the baby all by herself. Cut the umbilical cord by herself. Clean the blood and still strangled the baby, forced her down the toilet.

She will still be among those shouting and be anyone shocked when they discovered the baby in the pipe.
