There was romance scam then, but people were more discreet and it had a high percentage of mature family men. We had a neighbour with a wife and 2 kids who they called a fraudster. I couldn't quite understand why, but all he did was go to cybercafes. In the daytime he is inside the house. "Responsible family men and women" made fortune from romance scam, human trafficking, prostitution and drug pushing before technology became advanced to nab people, so a new generation emerged.

My mum would always tell me nothing happening now didn't happen in the past. She said our generation is only more garrulous.
