Even those born with silver spoon has it... Basically almost every household back then....

Some are sharp at the edge while some are blunt... If one isn't careful enough while using the sharp ones, you might have a cut on the lips...

It's a great weapon during fight (the sharp ones), those that attended public schools can relate... I get one werey senior like that for Fagba grammar school, that's his weapon, once he hold the base of that cup firmly, he's ready to confront anyone with knife, Dagger, even Cutlass... Except for gun...

Of course I used this cup for drinking when I was young.

I got to know later in my undergraduate days that this same cup can be handcrafted into a very sharp UTC or 7 🔪🪓

There's a way you carve out the handle and the edge. You only need a cutter and bench grinder.

That cup was very common in average people's homes then. Even when you try to fold it, it will not separately open. There was bigger size of it that has cover.
