There is a secret God kept away from all wicked people it's the judgment that He purposed for evildoers. Right from the beginning God told Adam:

“From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will certainly die.” Genesis 2:16-17

Satan told Eve:

“You certainly will not die" Genesis 3:4

From that day Satan has continued to promote the idea of life after death so as to keep mankind in the dark. After he succeeded in making other spirit sons of God (angels) to join him in his rebellion against God all these demons works as one group to promote Satan's lie regarding the condition of the dead.
Jesus said:

“Every kingdom divided against itself comes to ruin, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand." Matthew 12:25

So all demons are working towards this idea to promote life after death and since it's only Israel that God revealed Himself to all other nations throughout the earth believe that something survives our dead body!

That is why you can't find any religion or tradition that doesn't have something to do with the spirit of the dead. They may not directly talk of worshiping the dead but they do so in subtle ways like praying for their dead ancestors.

In some Eastern Cultures it's believed that some dead people are in a place of bliss or elevation while some are placed in a degrading condition or in torment.
While many doesn't care whatever their religions teaching but continued to play along some have decided to trash faith in the supernatural completely and still others chosen to promote this idea due to hatred for those who have hurt them one way or another. So Satan and his demons now have what they can work on to spread the idea that people don't really die rather death is just a means to leave the body and continue somewhere else!

But what did God's word have to say about the condition of the dead?

There is hope for whoever is among the living, because a live dog is better off than a dead lion. For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing at all, nor do they have any more reward, because all memory of them is forgotten. Also, their love and their hate and their jealousy have already perished, and they no longer have any share in what is done under the sun. Ecclesiastes 9:4-6

God's word continues:

Whatever your hand finds to do, do with all your might, for there is no work nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom in the Grave, where you are going. Ecclesiastes 9:10

So going by God's word Adam and all his descendants are completely dead when they cease breathing just as God said in the beginning {Genesis 2:17} the energy that keeps them alive returns to God who supplied it and they return to dust from which God formed Adam! Ecclesiastes 12:7 compare to Psalms 104:29

If this is the case then what is the meaning of so many things found written in the Bible book of Revelations?

After the rebellion in the garden of Eden God said to Satan:

"I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your offspring and her offspring. He will crush your head, and you will strike him in the heel.” Genesis 3:15

So when God instructed the Israelites to stay away from all the nations and focus on His commandments it was to protect them from contamination regarding false informations that Satan and fallen angels are spreading through their words and actions. Leviticus 19:31; 20:6-7; Deuteronomy 18: 10 -12

Now why did God use symbolic terms as if the dead are alive in the Bible book of Revelations?

God revealed something similar to Daniel but the Jewish prophet became worried because it's like God is using terms that totally differs from what this prophet knew through the study of God's laws.

So Daniel said to God:

Now as for me, I heard, but I could not understand; so I said: “O my lord, what will be the outcome of these thing?" Daniel 12:8

But God answered His righteous servant:

“Go, Daniel, because the words are to be kept secret and sealed up until the time of the end. Many will cleanse themselves and whiten themselves and will be refined. And the wicked ones will act wickedly, and none of the wicked will understand; but those having insight will understand" Daniel 12:9-10

This means there is no way anyone can understand the terms God used in this book until the time of the end when the true worshipers of God will be given the spirit of understanding to interpret the message.

In fact Peter the apostle said even angels in heaven can only look into this messages {1Peter 1:12} but they can't understand it not until God used His holy spirit to open the seal for His loyal worshipers to grasp the meaning! Revelations 6:1

So why did God use terms that's similar to what is common among pagan nations when the message has a totally different meaning?

Remember that God intended to reveal the meaning of these symbolic terms to His loyal servants who will teach others! Daniel 12:9-10

So to keep the boundaries between light and darkness in tight God used terms that even though Satan's agents read the message they won't find out it's real meaning since they will read without the spirit of God which Jesus promised as an helper that's going to assist true believers! John 16:12-13

In the world of false religions the common belief is that there will be another punishment after death whereas death is the capital punishment for sin {Romans 6:23 compare to Genesis 2:17} while the sinner has fully paid for his sins at death {Romans 6:7} false religions teaches that they will continue living in torments after all they cannot die completely as Satan told them! Genesis 3:4

Therefore when God used terms like lake of fire false religions say God will or has prepared a place where He will continue to torment people forever whereas the lake of fire means completeness in death where there is no hope of resurrection! Revelations 20:15

Jesus presented everything to John using SIGNS which is not to be sealed because the end time is closer than ever that's why Jesus said:

“Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this scroll, for the appointed time is near. Let the one who is unrighteous continue in unrighteousness, and let the filthy one continue in his filth; but let the righteous one continue in righteousness, and let the holy one continue in holiness" Revelations 22:10-11

This means it's only those having pour hearts and clean hands {Psalms 24:3-4} that will be favored to be among God's chosen ones who will understand this message just as Daniel wrote in his book! Daniel 12:9-10

So after the death of Christ's first century disciples Satan's agents started claiming Christians and took their falsehood to most places forcing it on people {Matthew 13:25} but in our own time Jesus returned and started revealing the sacred secrets to faithful people (Sheep) in order to separate them from false religionists (goats) Matthew 25:31-33

Today all the religions apart from Jesus' true disciples are claiming there is a place where dead people will go and suffer after death but true disciples of Christ are saying death is the wages of sin!

Hell is the word religionists made horrible but it's real meaning has nothing to do with horror!🙂

See one of the first book I read when I decided to read the Bible was the book of Ecclesiastes. That book was really written by a wise man.
See chapter 12:7. The body returns to the earth where it was taken and the spirit returns to God who gave it.Human in a nut shell are that one God's spirit dwelling within a physical body made from dust., experiencing human life in multiple ways. No judgement, No hell.
Judgement actually takes place on earth and mankind has already been judged: "From dust you where take and to dust you shall return".
It is only a wicked man (mind) that will create hell, which it did as a tool for control. Social engineering.
We are all spiritual beings having a human experience. If you have not achieved your incarnation, you can come back to try again and again. The purpose is to achieve unity.

Let no man scare you with hell. It does not exist. Even when the children of Israel will ere passing their children through the fire of Moloch, God had to punish them, such a thing never crossed his mind.
Well that should not deter you from doing good and putting smile in people's faces. It is still our duty. Live life and enjoy it.
