The man said he doesn't own a house or car after working for the company.. The company should tell us otherwise with documents of the properties the acquired for him instead of trying to play APC politics with Nigerians

Why should they acquire properties for him for acting in a TV series ...

Please leave us alone with all these tales.
Na dem dem Sabi.

When things were rosy, no one cared about anybody.

Sometimes I wonder how some of these celebrities reason. When they are in their peak, you can't go close to them as a common person, but when they fall, they expect us to start contributing for them. I don't get it.
As if they weren't paid their salaries and wages
You know... Sometimes they even say because they entertained us on the TV, we owe them care and love. I have heard this a number of times from mostly these older artistes. Nobody owes you anything because you are an entertainer, we all have our different roles in life too. Older Doctors should also come out because they attended to our health in the past, Retired Police grin can also come because they offered "security/extortions" in the past, Our teachers can also come out because they taught us in the past.
Noone is stopping anyone from asking for help where necessary but it should never be made to look like a must-pay-back thing.

Wale Adenuga did what every reasonable business man will do, no sentiment attached.
I have seen Papa Ajasco couples of time welcoming Tinubu at the airport, which Tinubu personally called him for handshake, I no such meeting always go with something heavy. He worked for the state govt for 3 decades and should have made a fortune, The past Lagos State governors have closely worked with him, how many Nigerians have such opportunities.
Careless lives shouldn't be blamed on others.
He comes out to receive the president anytime his excellency comes to Lagos and he is still crying about opportunities?
It's okay if Baba Ajasco needed more money but he didn't necessary have to rub Wale Adenuga in the mud to achieve that.

Sometimes I feel like meeting and having the opportunity to shake hands with you. I have huge respect for you. I may not have ever met you 1v1, but trust me, you embody a lot.
You've said it all.
Nobody owes them anything. In their primes, you can't have access to them, they can't help you even if you request for their help. But immediately things go south for them, same people they once looked down on, would be same people they turn to for help. They entertained themselves and were well paid, it's their craft. So if they mismanage their monies and later go broke, how is it our business?

Would like to interact with you off domain Pls.
Thanks

Our people need to start seeking expert advice. Your native wisdom isn't enough. He should have found a manager or talked to an entertainment lawyer. I hope he still makes something of remaining life.

That said, 45k per episode is very poor of WAP. Yeah, industry standard. Such poor industry standards.
Exactly, industry standard. WAP is an industry, you don't tell them how to run their industry, if you feel cheated you can try a re-bargain or you f**k off their industry.
I see the man as the cause of his blah blah blah.....he isn't smart, he thinks a consistent hardwork still pays in modern age. He should had learnt to be a diversified portfolio, WAP didn't stop him from entertainment aside WAP.....but the deal is don't use our initial ‘Papa Ajasco’. What is there? See Akpan and Oduma and others are making cool money aside WAP using different names. Why's this old man crying for not being smart?? He should rest jare.

E be like say this man dey very manipulative...cos dem no allow u use papa Ajasco.... he's definitely lazy mentally... even super man and batman characters act other movies ...they didn't forever depend solely on their superhero character... thats why u are an actor... papa ajasco gave him the platform and fame to be able to pursue other roles in movies .... but he just stuck with papa ajaco... now he says its Alaska .... smh...look at pa James, acting other movies and appearing in musical videos
Very simple my brother, WAP told you don't use our initial ‘Papa Ajasco’ but you're not restricted to feature somewhere else and make your extra cash just don't use our name.
Pa James, Oduma,Akpan,Patoski these guys are diversified entertainers making sweet extra cash aside WAP.

You are very funny sha.
Is it the responsibility of a company to get their employees a house?

House many employees would they get a house for?

Let's call a spade a spade.

The man is just a bad manager of money and resources., one who lacked the capacity to convert opportunities to his advantage.

This was a man that worked with the Lagos state council of Art and culture for 30 yrs and just retired in December 2025, by his own account he admitted he has travelled to several countries and states on official duties sponsored by the government. And I know such travels come with esta-codes (Bonuses).

Was he restricted from making use of a good PR agency to get ambassadorial offers with Telcos. Banks and other brands the way the likes of Saka , Mr Ibu and the rest did?.

Did he expect WAP to give him name, fame, platform and at the same time help him convert those to money, car and house.

Not many people had the same opportunity he had.

Baba Ajasco should just go and sit down and think of how he wasted his God given life opportunities and the resources that came along the line rather than heap blames on an innocent company that brought him fame.

Papa Ajasco is a talented actor but a bad money manager.
WAP paid him well, during PMB regime he got lots of gig and to cap it all, he worked for 30 years with the Lagos State government.. So what have happened to his finances.
The average Nigerian never get such opportunities and still excel.
If he's broke due to his financial recklesness, he should come out plain instead of trying to blackmail WAP.
What if he wasn't a reckless slender, but was spending the money on keeping his family together, to give his children the best of education. Meanwhile its good you know that Lagos State Government can only give him max of 8 to 10 my as Gratuity, for some that did 25 years it's around 3 to 4 m. Some of them their salaries per month is not up to 300k, imagine that he had like 3 kids that went to private universities paying minimum of 1m per session. This thing is deeper than we can actually imagine

I see some lies , but without evidence both are liars.
There are no lies here, just an adult who has failed to plan his life (personal opinion tho).

He was employed to perform a character in a soap opera (having been interviewed and discovered that he was fit and qualified). Remember, the story, the character and everything relating to the soap was developed and planned by the company (WAP), just like a company would establish a business and employ you to come and work and they retain every rights over their products and assets.

I'm sure he was told about the rules of engagement and every one kept to terms. He was however engaged and paid according to the terms of the contract!

Papa Ajasco on the other hand, used to work with the state governments! Not like he had no other thing doing, he was employed!!. So, WAP job was a side gig.

As someone who has had such a job as a side gig, he was supposed to have looked beyond those jobs for a third avenue, when he knew that those two jobs weren't fetching enough.

Besides, he wouldn't tell us that he had no plans whatsoever for himself and his family. If he failed to plan his life, that shouldn't be the headache of his employers.

Bringing WAP into this mess is unfair. Apart from having to cope with the rapid evolution of the television production and media space, it has a lot of other things on its plate as a going concern. So, the negligence of Papa Ajasco character should be the least of it's problem.

If I were Papa Ajasco, knowing fully well that I have made a name, I would sit him down and do a fresh negotiation for a good pay that I know would be useful to me, failure of which I would threaten to pull out (of course I know he wouldn't be able to replace me immediately).

.abi.. when he was making the.money why did he not invest the money in business or landed properties.. build house and rent out the house for tenants and become a landlord and be receiving rents./money...he should also have grown up children by now.. where are his children..why can't they assist him

Reckless spender of what? N2,000 six times a year? N45,000 per episode?

Look, I'm not making excusing for Mr Ayoyinka - it was up to him to find other sources of income. But his claims seem correct, as they have not been contradicted by WAP in their robust response.
that’s why I use the statement “what if” and I gave different scenarios of what might have happened

you seems not to know much about Intellectual Properties and the possible thefts around it. Your work can be worth 100 million dollars and someone will twist your hand and pay you 500,000 Naira based on your knowledge. Remember the case of Jacob vs Laban, his uncle who underpaid him and cheated him by keeping underpaying him. Read up the case between King Sunny Ade and the first record label that signed him
