Residents Scoop Fuel From Fallen Tanker In Ibadan (Video) by Prestar(op): 11:09pm On Mar 22
There was tension along the Academy-Iwo Road Expressway in Ibadan after a fuel tanker reportedly fell, prompting some residents to rush to the scene to scoop fuel.

Eyewitnesses said several people were seen with buckets and other containers collecting fuel from the fallen tanker, despite the serious danger of fire outbreak and possible explosion.
The incident caused panic in the area as motorists and passersby watched in fear, while others warned those involved to leave the scene for their safety.

Such incidents have continued to raise concerns across the country, as desperate residents often risk their lives by attempting to collect fuel from accident scenes, especially amid rising fuel prices and economic hardship.

. While Tinubu has a fault in this, Nigerians need to take responsibility for their actions. Tinubu did not tell them to take what is not theirs. They chose to do so. This is a Nigerian attitude that needs to stop. Getting uncomfortable with theft.

Is it poverty that is making them risk their lives like this.

I mean how much is the petrol they r scooping compared to the just one life they will lose?
Re: Residents Scoop Fuel From Fallen Tanker In Ibadan (Video) by Rossychy(f): 5:28am On Mar 23
I am so scared seeing them in action.
In this situation, anytime it happens, government should be proactive by sending fire fighters ahead. Since it is obvious that citizens won't adhere to safety warnings.
The fire fighters have to dilute the fuel with water to avoid stories that touch.

Well, from your comments, I believe I've lived longer in Nigeria than you guys, except you're just choosing to be blind due to politics. Nigerians have always scooped fuel from fallen tankers and broken pipelines from time immemorial, and they know the consequences. No leader, including Tinubu, has ever told them to do so.
If that's the case, why do they do so and then blame "our leaders" for every stup*id act they commit? You are equally Nigerians; can you do what these guys are doing? If yes, you already know your answer. If no, then know that these guys are simply stup*id and should take responsibility for their actions, not blame "our leaders" or Tinubu. Why make a case for such stup*idity? Besides, where do all our leaders emerge from? Spain, Jupiter, or Mars? We are a reflection of our leaders. WE ARE OUR LEADERS.
