Exactly. Na only league we want. And we don mark attendance in cup already. Next is to drop out of fa cup and ucl. If we bottle the league, e no go bad shaa. At least we would have a reason to sack Arteta

Bro.. Saka has regressed since he came back from injury. There was a time I jokingly asked if Tolani abi wetin be her name did something to him.
They said the board et al view him as the face of the club. Whatever that means.. .
Yeah. You said so. I even noted it too. Lol. Benson don touch boy he no wan gree pass between men again 😣
My own is the rush to always renew his contract or modify it.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by daveP(m): 8:42pm On Mar 22
The approach was foolish sha. The tendedcy to suddenly go cautious vs a Man City that Dem Madrid and Bodo Glimt dey whip? If he was without ideas, all he needed to do was approach it the way these two ucl nightmares of Pep did it. Or simply watch clips pf Wenger's Wembley style and upgrade it. The pairing of Kai and Gyokores no dey ever sweet without Eze. Eze can play well with 1 or the other. Sadly he couldn't play today. But why didn't he then try MLS then. I know many might say this or that but that guy no send City he's direct and loves to make their backline quiver. They were too comfy and when possesion turned, there was nobody to run and press. Kai can't Gyokores needs Eze or Odegaard if na out of possession situation.

Las las, this was self destruct today. City are hibernating but the quick succession of goals was something else. Kepa went on like Nepa. 😥😥

25/28 last available trophies out of reach is what many others will sack a manager for. The 3/28 were community shields.

I pray he comes out next game and finish this campaign well. For his sake he better.

I had to go back and rewatch Saka highlight compilations. I genuinely feel sad for him. He has lost a yard of pace with the hamstring injury he had. It was easy for him to beat his marker before the injury and his decision making was great.
I don't know if there is anything he can do during the summer to regain the pace he has lost.
Otherwise I am afraid that the starboy we knew is no longer HIM

You too
Arteta job is to arrange the players, kepa killed us
We had the first half and couldn't take chances Trafford made triple saves 3 o
Saka shouldn't be starting again but kepa is today scape goat
Look at Guardiola formation today. It required in game management to adapt to the game.

Arteta got in wrong.

Whether Raya should have started or not, was immaterial at that point.

So, yes, for today, it’s on the coach.

I’m still backing the team to win the premier league though.

i really don't have the time to loathe this team. It is truly not worth it. We had the best chance in first half to kill the game but... Make them no just Bleep up epl and ucl. We move regardless.

His case is making me regret this Nwaneri loan. We should just be grateful we have Dowman and Nwaneri. Make we get Kvaratskheila in summer and let the LW come alive and consistent.

The Burnout is here!!! My my!!

The loss of 2020 where he sat and tweeted that Arsenal deserves better. Now 6years later and he's not yet 25 but has raked in caps a 28yo baller is supposed to have. Injuries these guys had and were never the same,😓😓😓

Arteta cannot change his approach at this stage of the season.
He will always start Rice and Zubimendi together, as he believes this combination is the best we have available.
Zubimendi was hiding all game. He was barely involved and ineffective.
These are exactly the kind of matches where some fans feel nostalgic for having Partey instead of Zubimendi.

I'm grateful we found a solution to our mediocre attack by getting goal contributions from our midfield and defence, as well as relying on set pieces to see us through matches.

Cherki, Doku, and Semenyo combined for 10 successful dribbles,
while Saka, Havertz, and Trossard had 0 successful dribbles between them.
That sums up our lack of attacking threat in this game and it's been a major source of concern for much of the season.

Kudos to Arteta for guiding us through 31 games so far. We just need to keep up the team effort to get us through the final 7 games.

I've always maintained that Madueke is ahead of Saka for now forget all that Star-boy shiiits. Madueke would have scored atleast 2 goals with the balls Saka joked around with.

they say "attack wins you games but defence wins you league". This was just a game that our attackers choose to be fuccked up. Of all the rants I've heard and read online and offline, no body is talking about how Gyokeres, kai, saka and trossard cost us. The focus is on kepa for making a mistake. Yes, he made mistakes but what did our attackers do about it?. No pressing upfront, not managing and controlling the ball well, not burying the little chances they got, losing 1v1 situations, not linking up well.
Kepa should have done better with that first goal, but 10 minutes leading to the goal we looked disastrous and finished. If we get the ball from city we only loses it in seconds, the structure was disorganised at the back and they kept pushing, I knew a goal would come from that, cus it was obvious we lacked focus and structure to keep our heads cool.
I just want us to get far in ucl and fa cup, by then we would have won the league. The shift in mentality after we're confirmed league winner would be obvious.
Re: Arsenal Fans Thread: The Red & White Army: 2025/2026 EPL Champions! by germaphobe(m): 9:47am On Mar 23
Kai got into a nice position and couldn't convert, this was the kind of things that made people shout for a no.9. But the no.9 we've got no fit ever enter that kind of position not to talk of shooting. He drags the ball so lazily, makes slow runs, and watching him play is sometimes frustrating.
I hope we have our attacking midfielders back before the visit to etihad.

This is not even about Saka v Noni. Both are crap currently. Add Trossard. There's a way we felt once ball reach Saka leg. Now, as ball reach leg, your mind is already on the "he'll lose it now now" or "nothing worth is going to come out from this except a back pass"

Our wings are no longer functional. The RW has joined the LW.

All this crashing out is nit necessary at all.

We are still on course to win the other 3 competitions we are presently competing in.

We can all agree the team and the coaching crew disappointed us with the team's performance yesterday, but pulling at each other's shirt for difference in opinion no make sense at all. All these thwoing of jab and negative energy does nobody no good.

Let's look forward to us going back to winning ways by advancing in the FA cup against Southampton and stop all this unnecessary bickering abeg!

Just watched a slow Mo of Kai's miss.

Guy took too many steps allowing Traff the advantage. Plus the shot was lame. The rebound by Saka undecided undecided undecided

These two forgot the keeper was low and didn't roof the net or take a cross to two shirts ready to nod in undecided

I didn't even need to watch the replay, I saw it in real time that he took so long to hit the ball. I told my friends who came around whom we watched the match together that Eze in that same position will hit it once with his left foot despite being a right footer and the ball will end at the back of the net.

That chance just looked like Havertz went back to his default mode when he first joined Arsenal. If he had scored that goal, we would've destabilized city and take full control of the game. It would've been similar to that 5-1 we trashed them last season when we banked on early goal to take control of the game.

I just want to believe Arteta will make the boys watch that yesterday's clip over and over again so everyone can see their mess-up and learn from it.

Unpopular opinion: Ben White is washed and should not start even in the absence of Timber. I think Mosquera should play right back pending when Timber comes back. I prefer Mosquera's defensive input on that right to whatever White thinks he's doing in that position.

I think Ben White will leave voluntarily at the end of the season. He knows he has lost the RB position to Timber and the club will be looking at signing a backup for Timber. If he still intend to play regularly, it is in his best interest to leave at the end of the season.

White
Trossard
GJ
Kai

Quick replacements for these guys.

Odegaard
Zubimendi
Saka

These 3 should get like for like competition worthy of entering the XI straight up. And that's me being considerate at this point.

Gyokores repositioned himself 3 times to nod in a cross for those misses but the blatant selfishness of Kai and Saka made such chance become one that will haunt the duo going forward.

Arteta starting Kai thinking he's gonna replicate his form vs City in that UCL final or what. Lol. Even that goal sef na mistake. I keep saying it Since he retrned he's only benefit is winning aerial duels for us but the nodded pass na to opponents.

Im calm sha. 7games to go for EPL. I believe they're hungry enough to wrap that up early.
