Yes they are irrelevant. Soludo made it clear last week that Tinubu doesn't need their votes but I guess it's obvious an ibo man will be the next Vice President after Tinubu's second term. So APC needs to have some presence in the region somehow.

Your statement needs a little adjustment, South East needs APC and not the other way round. South South have already taken the VP position. I'm sorry to say, but politics is about numbers. SE electorate hate APC as though it's personal, you don't expect the party to grovel and handover VP to them, when they don't support it.
The few who are in APC are insulted as though they are second class citizens. If you don't deem your own as fit, how do you want the party to recognize them

No gov in the SE apart from Hope supported Tinubu in 2023 but today all the SE govs are backing Tinubu including Otti that is doing it underground. CCP supported Obi in 2023 but has now switched to Tinubu. City Boys are gaining grounds as we speak. So, wetin remain? SE is fallen for Tinubu.
