This is probably another distraction but if true then it’s a disaster waiting to happen.

The marines are light infantry and don’t have the armoured forces for an invasion. They are not ready for Fpv drones warfare. Sending any surface ship to kharg island is suicidal, are they going to invade the island with submarines. This is not Hollywood.

I don't understand why US is strategizing based on outdated ideas about warfare. I see no benefit to occupying the Island whatsoever.

The aircraft carrier USS Ford suffers from problems far deeper than the effects of a fire in the laundry room.
