Earlier today, I attended the All Progressives Congress (APC) Southwest Zonal Congress at Onikan Stadium, Lagos.

It was an opportunity to connect with leaders and members of our great party, as we collectively elected officers who will steer the affairs of the party in the zone.

It was particularly pleasing to see the strong delegation from Oyo State. Special recognition to former Senate Leader, Sen. Teslim Folarin, OFR, Sen. Sharafadeen Alli, Senator representing Oyo South and Mr Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to the President on Public Communication for their presence and continued commitment.

Together, we remain focused on strengthening our party and advancing progress across the Southwest and beyond.

3,188 delegates have voted Chief Isaac Kekemeke as SW Zonal Chairman at the SW congress holding today at Onikan Stadium (Mobolaji Johnson Arena).

- He was the pioneer APC Chairman in Ondo State

- Minority Leader in the Ondo State House of Assembly

- He was SSG, Attorney General & Commissioner for Justice, and Commissioner for Works in Ondo State.

- At the federal level, he was the pioneer Chairman of @Neconigeria and now chairs the board of @NIPOSTNG

It was an important political gathering that brought together key stakeholders from across the Southwest region as we continue to strengthen our unity, deepen our structures, and renew our shared commitment to progress and good governance.

Congratulations to chief Isaac kekemeke. I've known you since early 90s as a dodged fighter and hardcore progressive. Yes, since the days of NRC/SDP of 1991.

This is an ijaw man leading APC in a Yoruba dominated southwest. Can this ever happen in another region?

When exactly will these people finally gather and actually talk about Nigeria and not just their pockets, like maybe discuss how to make life easier, safer, and better for the people for once, because at this point all these political meetings look like private business deals and Nigerians are clearly on their own so God help us all. Who's stopping opposition from being this organized? When we see the unseriousness of opposition in the simplest matters and we say they are not ready or fit, people start to foam and call us names.
We were on these streets when we gave unserious people power. They nearly ruined the country in 6 years. Never again. Why would i sit and watch unserious people gamble with my country like it doesn't affect us all? When you present someone and something more prepared than the Jagaban, mention me. Stop insulting us with people like Obi as options.
