It was a bright and bustling afternoon in the heart of the city of kano. I had just finished shopping for some important items for an upcoming event.

I decided to take a Keke to avoid the hassle of carrying the goods on foot. I spotted a Keke rider waiting nearby and approached him. I loaded my bags carefully into the back of the Keke, making sure nothing was left
but then, something strange happened. Instead of him to make U-turn and took me he sped away, leaving me stranded and shocked.

I called out to him, but he was already gone, disappearing with my goods my hard-earned purchases were gone in an instant.

I reported the incident to the keke local union and shared the rider’s description with the Keke operators union. Though I never got my goods back up till now. The experience taught me a valuable lesson about trusting strangers, even in familiar places.

From that day on, I always made sure to verify the identity of any rider and never left my belongings unattended. It was a harsh reminder that sometimes, even the most ordinary errands can take an unexpected turn.

During my time as a Keke rider,I found about 7 phones in my Keke and I made sure I returned everyone of them to the owners. There was a time a lady forgot two crate of malt in the back of my Keke around 10p.m. I made sure I traced her back to the junction I dropped her,asked around until I got her address,that same night.

I remember how a family even greeted me with praises simply because I returned their mother's phone she forgot in my Keke.
