Based on Igbo culture and traditions, Odumeje is correct. Any child born by a woman that the dowry you paid on her head has not been returned to her parents is yours

Some Women will be really happy to hear this .

Thank God all the DNA test I need is in the face of my Child. Not like I have any reason to suspect my Wife of infidelity
If your wife has more dominant genes/traits, them nor go resemble you sha. Just saying.

Just because Igbo culture allows men to claim b@stard children as theirs based on bride price doesn't mean others will accept such.

Every right thinking man should reject b@stard children. Go for DNA biko!

This is traditionally or culturally correct. Any child a woman gives birth to under the roof of any man whether the man is dead or alive, belongs to him.

Cuturel is different, that's Igbo's culture but I think that culture may encourage adultery .
It does not encourage adultery.

It protects the child. It protects the home. For those who understand the meaning and sanctity of dowries in marriages, it is a very serious matter. Once dowries are paid, every child born while the marriage exists becomes the man’s child.

That’s why the people of old visited dieties. Whoever is the so called biological father loses the right to the child. He cannot claim the child and the woman cannot take the child to him. That cost cost the offending man his life, if juju is used.

So you see, adultery is prevented that way also. The marriage is protects that way and the child is protected that way.

You're ignorant. That's Igbo tradition. Go to the customary court in Igbo land and the same verdict is what you get.

Does Igbo culture condone infidelity?
Re: “Avoid DNA Tests” — Odumeje by judewrites: 12:16pm On Mar 28
If you suspect your wife of cheating, it's advisable to do DNA tests.

It's just like a case of a black couple giving birth to a white baby and refusing DNA tests for religious reasons?

Sadly common sense isn't always common.

If the child takes the father to customary court, he wins and moreover, the kinsmen will support the child.

Pastors THRIVE in deception.
So it's NO surprise that he's advocating for fellow DECEIVERS.

Paternity Fraud is a huge PROBLEM.
DNA Test is the SOLUTION.

ANYBODY who tells you to ignore DNA Test is your ENEMY.

Nigeria has a HIGH Poverty rate of over 60%.

Now, imagine BREAKING your back as a man to make money to RAISE and FEED the product of another man's JIZZ while simultaneously subsidizing the lifestyle of a WORHE.

You'll be taking responsibility for 2 or MORE people that you have ZERO business dealing with.

In fact as it stands right now, DNA Tests should be taught as a significant part of Financial Planning and Literacy.

With one DNA Test, you could be free from the Financial BURDENS of as many as 2 people.

ANYBODY who is against DNA Test is a GENETIC TERRORIST.
LoL at Genetic Terrorists, hahaha 😂

The pastor is right, as an Ijaw man, I know that as part of the Ijaw culture any child born by your wife belings to the husband.
This is true of what I met in the early 80s growing up as child.
There was no need for DNA, there are even cases of clear difference in the family but the man will just accept it. Sometimes those children will rise to be the breadwinner in the family.
I will never conduct a DNA test even if billions of dollars on the children.
I don't have any need for one because my children are my photocopy.

Re: “Avoid DNA Tests” — Odumeje by pussyphilia(m):
This is what I have been saying in the issue. In many parts of Nigeria, especially Igbo tribe, any child born in a marriage belongs to the husband regardless of paternity. Even if the couple are separated and the wife got pregnant by another man during the separation, such child belongs to the husband unless bride price has been returned to the man's family. In some cases, if the man died after marriage without his own child, the wife is encouraged to get pregnant from outside in order that the family does not close.

Illiterates have hijacked microphones and cameras in Nigeria. The internet is amplifying their idiocy.
Re: “Avoid DNA Tests” — Odumeje by onuman: 12:21pm On Mar 28
Sure. That's the belief in Igbo land. Ebe nwa si puta uwa, ya nodu.
But that is not blessing adultery.

He clearly stated that according to Igbo Culture (not Christianity) and I have not seen any Igbo elders claiming that he is wrong, so what's the fuss about his statement?

There sense in every nonsense

I saw his message on Facebook, he said it clearly,
His point was that during the time of great grandfathers , they never did DNA test to their children
That as long as no body is dragging your child with u
You have to accept any children born by your wife .
And the child may grow to hate the man who raised him
