They will lose before 2pm....no be chais!

Kwankwaso is a Kano man, outside there he is like a fish out of water.
You're wrong man. An average northerner especially the north west will vote Kwankwaso their own instead of that failure called Tinubu. On the other hand, Peter Obi will beat Tinubu silly in SE and also win SS so mathematically the combo will beat Tinubu Apc before 2p on the election day

Fear fear....you already have 32 governors. Yet jittery about engaging an Obi in a contest.

Why are you concerned? Why not keep quiet so tha5 ADC will make mistake and bring Obi/Kwankwaso? Why inform them that the ticket will not fly if not that you know who's the people stand with.

Its close, we wait and see!
seunmsg:
SS and NC are already in the bag for Tinubu. Those zones are settled. ADC will win NE easily and do well in NW if Atiku is the candidate. If it is Obi, NW and NE will stick with Tinubu and wait for 2031. They won’t vote for Obi under any circumstances. It’s a no brainer now.
Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by Konjiboii: 1:18pm On Mar 29
If Atiku truly means well for Nigerians he should just step down and focus on being a vice to Obi , same Kwankaso, we will know how patriotic and serious the ADC is by their choice of candidate.

You can say whatever you like, you analyse from now till tommorow, but 31 governors and 78 senators is not moin-moin in politics of today's Nigeria.

That combination will spark momentum that is currently absent. ADC needs a spark.
My take though is that opposition lost a massive opportunity in 2023.
You don't need to even date it.....I laugh when ppl say Kwankwaso is a kano man....let him align with Obi then una go see what Kwankwaso is made up of in the North West...
Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by sailor2011(m): 1:47pm On Mar 29
Wrong !! PBAT is miles ahead of the opposition..😁😁As it stands now , APC know their presidential aspirant is the incumbent , As for ADC , should AA emerge as the flag bearer , it automatically gives PBAT an added advantage...It is still the turn of the south..
Tenses:
tinubu miscalculated again.

You know a sitting president seeking reelection has automatic ticket. His calculation was that adc will never adopt concensus in their primaries. Since there is no more indirect primary the only option for adc is direct primary.

tinubu was hoping if the direct primary were to be adopted, it will put the adc in disarray thereby destabilising the party.
Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by sailor2011(m): 1:50pm On Mar 29
He will be beaten to stupor..🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
DMerciful:
Peter Obi as the concensus presidential candidate of the coalition is non-negotiable.

Only Peter Obi can defeat Tinubu so its Peter Obi or nothing

Get votes from which north ? Tinubu and atiku had more votes up north than Kwankwaso in 2023, I honestly don't know whether it's delusion or just ignorance that is making you guys on social media make unrealistic assumptions
Tinubu can't loose in 2027, the numbers are there for all to see but it's OK, keep deceiving yourself.
should people not contest because tinubu can’t lose?
is nigeria a one party system?
would you prefer tinubu runs unopposed?
will that make you happy?
Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by israelmao(m): 2:13pm On Mar 29
Forget about Ameachi the real issue is between Obi and Atiku.Atiku is having his last chance to contest in 2027 considering age that is no longer on his side. His best chance was in 2019 presidential election of which he was robbed of by Buhari and his cohorts.Would Atiku watch from the sideline or play second fiddle?I doubt this possibility.

So between a tinubu that has only 4 more years to go and obi that can he 8 years by law Who do you think the north will vote for ?
DMerciful:
The North will not vote for Tinubu so who will they vote for? Obi will clear thr North central, SS, SE, while the coalition should bring the core North

I honestly hope the ADC ends up choosing Peter Obi. If that happens, Tinubu might as well ask Shettima to start preparing his inaugural speech for 29 May 2031.
Whoever emerges is already a loser come January 2027 general elections
Re: Atiku/Obi/Amaechi: ADC Working On Consensus For Presidential Candidate - Bolaji by DMerciful(m): 3:26pm On Mar 29
Obi has said he'll do one term. If the North are the deciders of who wins, how will Obi win a second term if he reneges on his promise?

Secondly, you expect the North to continue to suffer under Tinubu because of the fear that Obi might want a second term?

Lol which one is a sure banker for disarray between Direct primaries and consensus?

Direct primary — all party members go to the poll and elect their candidate. No bigwigs or delegates influencing anything. This is the best form of primaries. Anyone that get defeated in this and choose to be angry is not a true politician.

Consensus — Some few leaders reigning on some candidates to step down for a single candidate. It’s like a godfather kinda system. This usually cause more disarray coz if you’re at the receiving end, you might say it’s foul play

If direct primary is the best, why didn't apc adopt it in their just concluded convention?

Realistically, how many states can that ticket win?

The North already have the VP so offering them what they already have cannot give momentum. It will get some traction in Kano and no where else. Even in Kano, the ticket can’t get as much votes as Kwakwanso got running as president under NNPP in 2023.

ADC has a big dilemma. Give Obi the ticket and the party will collapse in the north. They are mobilizing into the party in the north on strong northern sentiment. They simply want the presidency back.

Give Atiku the ticket and the Obidient movement backing the party in the south will go very cold irrespective of who is the VP candidate. It will be a bit better to salvage if Obi is the vice presidential candidate. If it is Amaechi or another southerner, the party will collapse completely in the south east which is its base in the south.
Lolz
They will never see u in topic that concern governance 🤣🤣
God save us from you all vultures that hate this country

That’s party EXCOs and not an actual party primaries.

Are you sure you know how party system work?

the entire north supported Tinubu. El Rufai, Buhari etc factor. Today the story is much different.

Lol which entire North and Buhari factor? Where did Atiku then got his votes?

You be novice. There is nothing like one North again. All Northern leaders have their own ambitions too, why should they risk supporting Atiku when it’s 100% sure power is coming back in 2031?

It’s Atiku/Kwakwanso/Elrufai caucus against those them Northern governors caucus.

Northern governors gave Tinubu the needed votes in 2023 and they’ll do same in 2027. ALL of them are still with us and we even have more now.

No, but our main focus of this discussion is party primaries.

Direct primary is the true test of democracy and the strength of candidate within their parties. Consensus is a Godfatherism kinda system.

I was referring to the election of the EXCOs. Direct primaries is not ideal but consensus.
