Pantami Reconciles El-rufai And Gov. Uba Sani At Funeral by doneyor(op): 8:14pm On Mar 29

At the quiet courtyard of the Abuja National Mosque, grief hung gently in the air as mourners gathered for the funeral prayer of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai. Among them stood two men whose strained relationship had become a subject of public conversation—Nasir El-Rufai and his successor, Uba Sani.

They arrived separately, each surrounded by aides, each carrying not just the weight of loss, but the tension of unresolved differences. Eyes followed them, whispers moved through the crowd. No one expected more than a distant acknowledgment—if even that.

Then came Isa Ali Pantami.
Known for his calm presence and moral voice, Pantami moved quietly between the two men. He first greeted El-Rufai, offering words of comfort. Then he turned to Uba Sani, speaking softly, almost inaudibly amid the murmurs. After a brief moment, he gently signaled for both men to come closer.

There was a pause—the kind that stretches longer than time itself.
For a second, it seemed uncertain.
Then, slowly, they stepped forward.

What followed was simple, yet powerful: a handshake. Not forced, not dramatic—just firm enough to carry meaning. The crowd fell silent, as if witnessing something more than a greeting. In that moment, grief had done what politics could not—it softened hearts.

Pantami stood between them, not as a politician, but as a bridge.

No speeches were made. No declarations followed. But the message was clear: even in disagreement, humanity remains.

As the prayer concluded and the crowd began to disperse, many left with more than sorrow—they carried a quiet hope that perhaps, just perhaps, this moment marked the beginning of something new.

The remorse or apology of a serial betrayer is highly suspicious and worth next to nothing. He will betray again with the slightest chance he gets.

Broken minds, programmed by a lethal culture and religion. Facing existential crisis that becomes a rescue of sort.

No one is immuned from personal subjective pain, no one can bear pains for another.

Like the representation of the sarcastic caption by Malam's son to be a joke 🤣😂🤣 ridiculing the peace mediation process with LMOA. He went on by further making caricature of reconciliation by saying clearly and explicitly that one was ashamed and the other was indifference. This simply shows that the reconciliation is for the camera and as it was shown El Ruffai is not interested in the reconciliation as a matter of fact his facial expression said it all, even the handshake was not an exchange of love but forcefully enforced by Pantami.
Re: Pantami Reconciles El-rufai And Gov. Uba Sani At Funeral by festacman(m):
This was purely playing to gallery by Pantami. This was a mockery of reconciliation. It was an abuse of solemn moments of burial and mourning. It showed lack of emotional intelligence.

El rufai is bitter about what he considers betrayal from Uba Sani. He trusted Uba Sani like a son. He was one of his confidante. Therefore, it will take more than a casual graveyard handshake for him for forgive. Forgiveness is not a flimsy thing. It takes willpower and deep inner pain for an offended to TRULY forgive especially when betrayal is involved.

Besides, if Uba Sani considered what he did as betrayal, he wouldn't have waited for El rufai's mother to die in order to reach out to him. But of course, it is obvious, he sees what he did to El rufai as taking his opportunity or perhaps as simply act out-politicking another politician.

The surprise things is that Tinubu will asking Governors to betrayed their boss and while he can't take it in his own Lagos....just like in Kano, Rivers etc.....Men need to learn what loyalty means when being used against your benefactors at their own selfish interests

My fervent prayer to PBAT is to forget the majority votes he enjoyed from the core Muslim North of Nigeria.

There is an unwritten rule to get him out of Aso- Rock by the Muslim North by ALL democratic means.

He betrayed Mallam Nasir-El rufai.

It was established that his ailing Mother died of Heartache. Unforgivable !

As for Sani Uba, this is no reconciliation. Nasir El-rufai can never forgive you especially when you Sani Uba where the major pawn used to hammer El-Rufai.

It's alleged that it was after DSS arrested El-Rufai that they started looking for Civil and Criminal Charges to arraign him.

Nasir El-rufai doesn't forgive but may temporarily forget.

boss with this long epistle you end up writing the obvious opposite reality on ground, the tune, the handshake, the facial expression and above all the caption by El Rufai's son said it all... The reconciliation is nothing short of mockery and caricature of the reality on ground.

El-Rufai has been faced with some difficult challenges in life recently and we believe it should be a genuine reconciliation with his successir governor, not a feeling of indifference
